Hi guys,

I've had a lot of crashing with battlefield 3 and other GPU intensive games since I got a new big bang xpower. I have a cougar 850 watt and I THINK it's because my PSU is insufficient to handle an oc'ed i7 950...12gb of ram...the 2 570s...and now the new mobo. (My current PSU is a cougar 850 watt)

Is there any way to know for certain though? I don't want to waste $150 on a 1kw psu to find out that it isn't the problem lol

thanks :toast:

PS: temps are fine (I monitor them with MSI afterburner beta)

you can download the latest SLI Fix from EVGA website, that is a start
try using only one card first, if all fine with both cards, try to cancel any OC you got
if the same thing happened again, try to get a psu from a friend and try it

want my opinion? sell this cougar , add money and bring a nice 1K unit, Gold or Silver at least, this will be a very nice safe side to stick to.

Hmmm how much do you think I could get for the cougar? I'm thinking of getting the hx1050 from corsair but it seems kinda...pricey haha

Not anymore. One was originally an oc'd version (small core and mem oc with a voltage bump...set both of them to stock clocks though and reduced voltage on oc'd model to 988 (factory set it at 1025)

Probably not a PSU problem because 850w is plenty for 570 SLI. Since you said it started with the new mobo, it's pretty the drivers somewhere. Try a fresh install yet?
