Orite i have come to ask for help from you guys again. (love you all)

I currently have a new i5 2500k coming with an Asus mobo and 16gb of ram they should be here tomorrow or the day after .

now my question is i also have a second 5870 coming and the possibility of a third if i can get my m8 to sell me his (fingers crossed) and i can almost certainly guess that my current PSU is not up to scratch. What PSU do you recommend? keeping cost down as low as possible.

telling form your specs........
xfx 650W well, their psus are really good as far as i can tell, I really don't see any reason you should upgrade just for the sake 5870 crossfire.... you already got 4x 6 pin PCI-E if you are looking for an upgrade.. why not buy 2600k instead of 2500k?

thats not much of an upgrade at all, more like a waste of money

a better suggestion would be a skt 1155 IB CPU but those arent out yet.

at least it wouldnt be a waste of money - which is my point.

there are various articles on the net saying the release date will be April the 29th, not exactly lightyears away.

and the OP can think about what else he might want to buy while hes waiting for IB

My suggestion would be to upgrade the PSU to a 750-850w unit to be on the safe side

Ive literally just bought the i5 lol so wont be getting a new cpu for a least a year.
And i know i only have 4 pcie cables but eventually i will need 6

.
