how to overclock xps 730x i7 920 3gb of ram with American Megatrends Bios ?

Im gonna assume this is a dell? Does the bios have any OCing features?

yeah it does these are known to be overclocked but i have a weird bios american megatrends and only 3 gb of tri RAm not sure what i should change for what i have

I would go into the bios and set BCLK at 191 and Multi at 21 then set CPU voltage to 1.275V Also lower Ram speeds to the lowest they will go but due to them already being 1066mhz they maybe your limiting factor

i don't have the same bios as him.
mine is American Megatrends
i only have 3gb of ram i dont know my limits with that please give me some useful advice

honestly 9 times out of 10 you will not find someone here that has a prebuilt machine such as a dell. Most people that are here built their machines by their own custom specs. This is why helping you OC a prebuilt is not gonna be easy. The best solution you may hear is buy a new motherboard that has better ocing features.

I'd like to see a picture of the motherboard itself before I do overclocking on it. Many Dell motherboards aren't designed to overclock whether you can do it or not.
