12.7 gives me in Skyrim a black screen and the game becomes unresponsive but the music keeps playing, tried uninstalling and reinstalling 12.7 five times... problem persists each time and every thing goes well after going back to 12.6.

Did you install the 12.7 CAP 1? Worked for me. :)

This is why I will be sticking with 11.11C for a while and I recommend it for any 6xxx and 5xxx series card users

Me too. In this case, yes you should install the CAP. They aren't just for CrossFire anymore. I had the same issue as you in Skyrim and some games wouldn't utilize my GPU 100%. Installed the CAP and it's fixed. :)

Im currently running the 12.4 CCC

Should I do a clean install or just install the latest driver over the existing one?

Ok so the HUD problem only happens if you have iShadowMapResolution=4096 (the Ultra value). I re-installed the 12.7 beta with iShadowMapResolution=2048 and it's fine. Which is a relief because the 12.6 WHQL cause my game to stutter like hell, damn. Installed 12.7 beta and it's smooth as butter again.

Apparently AMD is on it (I won't get my hopes up though).

I see they haven't fixed the Digital display scaling option.

I set it to 0 and its all fine till the next reboot... The scaling is still showing 0 but the screen isn't filled like it's suppose to. Back to the 12.4's :shadedshu

I'm confused. I was running a beta I got a few weeks ago and it identified as 12.7.

Just now I downloaded and installed the new 12.7 beta from AMD and now see it as 12.4 as shown below?!?!

gpuz-127b.gif

EDIT: Remembered that this is just informational. It appears I have all the correct version numbers. Just removed all 12.4 references with regedit. :D

Just don't know why it would become 12.4 when it was just a 12.7. I've updated a few times since 12.4.

using these on my laptop has resulted in my 6470 1GB showing up as a '7400m series' in device manager. odd glitch that XD

this of course, is causing me problems (black screen most of the time. would suggest NOT using these on dual graphics laptops)

Same here... odd little quirk, it will set itself right after a few seconds.
Almost, like it is on delayed start, but it is not set to that in services or start-up command line.

They don't put the actual "12.7" number in the beta. Go into CCC and select Information-->Software. Under Driver Packaging version it should read: 8.981.2-120626a-141571E-ATI

Yeah there's numerous problems after 12.4 CCC

Amd is working on getting there drivers optimized for the 7 Series drivers... Its a yearly thing for these homo's...

Welcome to the 6 series and no support!

Thats why I'm Green team now!

11.9 or 12.4 is about the best bet for 6 series card holders

I always just install over the last drivers. I have not had a problem yet. But I may be just a lucky one. :toast:
