I have a dilemma, I purchased recently a Gigabyte GTX 580 SOC after I had received a DOA Zotac GTX 580 Amp!. At the same time I had already purchased an EK Full cover waterblock. The problem is, the waterblock does not fit the card as the Gigabyte card uses a non reference PCB. Before I make any more boneheaded moves :banghead:, can someone verify that this is indeed a reference waterblock?

atb (all the best)

Law-II

Yeah I realized that when I tried to put it on and it didn't fit :banghead:, there's a slight difference that keeps it from mounting.

Looks like a knock off of http://www.ekwb.com/shop/blocks/vga...gtx-series/ek-fc580-gtx-acetal-en-nickel.html

Whered u buy it? and how much did you pay

I got it off ebay for $75 and it's exactly like the one on EK website, it's legit. It's the card that's non reference, therefore it doesn't fit.

But its not exactly like the one on the site.. the holes dont match and the block itself is different at the top.. but ok

Here's the top of the block. The earlier picture that Law-II circled in red are not mounting points, they are holes for a key system from the acetal to the nickle plated copper. There are also two different reference design blocks. Damn confusing though.
