GW2 account is hacked

Today i received an email from ArenaNet telling me that someone,hopefully me,has requested to change the email address associated with my game account.Well it was not me...I also received an email from them(on 26 of august) 1 day after buying the game telling me that someone has tried to change the game password.So now i will wait and see what response they give me and see how this will end.Seems like many players had problems with hacked accounts.
Edit:should i run to the bank and see if my millions are still there?

First thing is download an antivirus + malwarebytes anti malware and scan your pc if you did not until now.

It is always a good idea to lock things up and change passwords when something like this happens.

Also like the user above says, run scans on all computers you were logging into with your arenanet accounts.

Don't follow any of the links in the email though. Go directly to the Guild Wars 2 or Arena net website and log in there or ask for a new password reset email. There are many fake/phishing emails going out for GW2.

thing is i cannot enter my account,my email address has been changed

Call them, and they will ask you your name and maybe they will ask to send a valid identify card or something.

Thing is arena net has a different support system ,you need create a support account (even if your game account is/was ok ) for contacting support (you missed nothing ) . Create one and good luck .

you should always practice safe practices, your GW2 account and email account for example should not have the same pass. further more you should get something like TPUs own keyz brought to you by the member kreij. If you held a gun to my head I couldnt tell you my password, because I myself dont know it. I generate every single one, and every service has a diffirent password.

i got my GW2 account back,yesterday i sent another email to arenanet,naming it Hacked Account and in 4 hours they sent me an email saying that i can play again,seems that everything is ok,nothing is missing,i have to check the game bank later
