Akasa is updating its cooling offer with a new solution aimed at HTPCs, a low profile CPU cooler called Nero LX. Codenamed AK-CC4011EP01, Akasa's creation measures 120 (W) x 120 (D) x 59 (H) mm, it weights 298 grams and has aluminum fins, four direct contact copper heatpipes, and a 120 mm PWM fan that operates at 600 to 1900 RPM (11.50 - 31.50 dBA sound output).

The yet unpriced and undated Nero LX supports Intel LGA775/1155/1156/1366 and AMD Socket AM2(+)/AM3/FM1 processors.

I have used to connect Akasa with relatively cheap stuff, but this looks extremely good. I guess you can swap the included fan with another 12mm thick Scythe for example. I hope the price is fair to their standard for budget and I might snag one of those, if available at home.

I would like to have that fan for my casemod project.

So simple to install. Doesn't even require mounting hardware.

You'd be surprised how poweful magnets can be. I almost hurt myself several times while testing with 2 super strong neodym magnets. And i think one of the closed loop coolers is also using magnets to attach the pump itself. Not sure which one though, probably some newer Corsair Hydro...
