Walton Chaintech, the world's renowned memory module and graphic cards maker, is releasing its new APOGEE GT DDRII 800+ low latency memory modules designed for gamers and advanced users wanting to maximize the performance of their systems. APOGEE GT DDRII 800+ delivers superior memory performance at 800MHz and supports the timing 4-4-4-12 in this speed grade. With remarkable speed and dual-channel configuration support, DDRII 800+ efficiently synchronizes with AMD CPU HTT transfer rates on AMD chipset. Thus, DDRII 800+ 4-4-4-12 512MB/1GB is believed to be the best AMD platform partner.

APOGEE GT DDRII 800+ memory module adopts an extruded aluminum and high-performance heat sink in the module design. The functional matrix design with the elegant black color gives a high quality look and feel; furthermore, "APOGEE GT" is printed with the bright silver to highlight its extreme performance.

With dual memory channel motherboards getting increasingly popular, Walton Chaintech releases these new APOGEE GT DDRII 800+ modules in matched pair kits that provide users with guaranteed compatibility. APOGEE GT DDRII 800+ memory modules are produced using the best quality chips from leading DRAM Fab, and are required to complete a high temperature burn-in test to meet our published specifications. Also worth mentioning is that all APOGEE GT modules pass the rigorous dual channel testing, therefore users can rest assured their platforms will perform beyond their expectations.

The gaming and overclocking market will be Walton Chaintech's focus in the future. Walton Chaintech is developing new products that satisfy gamers and enthusiasts' needs on performance and stability, as well as the best possible cost. The release of APOGEE GT memory module perfectly reflects Walton Chaintech's long-term commitment and continuous efforts to provide the best solutions for gaming enthusiasts.

Does Chaintech still make Motherboards? I wasnt aware they made Dram chips (modules) or video cards either. This looks like some nice memory but it also looks like they copied Corsairs Dominator HS :)

Oh yeah, I forgot that Infrared. When I saw the Chaintech Apogee II I thought it was something to do with Watercooling as well.

Not to mention that that press release is a load of BS.

"DDRII 800+ efficiently synchronizes with AMD CPU HTT transfer rates on AMD chipset."

WTH? All memory on ALL K8 systems ALWAYS runs async. The only time it wouldn't would be is you dropped the CPU speed to match the ram speed. There is no reason to "sync" with the HT bus because the memory controller is on the CPU. Not to mention that fact that the HT bus runs at 1000MHz (S754 and Sempys excluded).

no they stoped making mobos after the memory company bought them out, i wont buy chaintech products anymore, they lied to us over at pcper(official rep was lied to said they where sticking with the mobo market just adding ram, then 2 months later the rap was fired and mobo market droped.)

i dont buy from companys that lie to me, and i dont buy from companys that may deside to drop a whole market just because they are wanting to go in a new dirrection.

screw chaintech

Is Chaintech really "world renowned"?

I always considered them to be a pretty small company, especially after they dropped motherboards. I have to agree with Ashen though, not a company I would buy from.

renowned for being crap.

my ti4200 died 4 times, because the stock cooler was more than incompetent. 3rd replacement, they just sent me a seperate cooler to install, it soon died, and my last one I just gave up and finally tossed into the trash.

as for the apogee name, they've been using that for years.

Also note, the ram they were using on my Ti4200 was actually OVERCLOCKED from SPEC.

I think it was 250mhz (500) DDR stock, and it was running clocked at 513. all the cards were the same, and the IC's were rated for 500. the first 2 failures were faulty ram modules. The others were an overvolted 4200 Core, and the heatsink couldnt cool its way out of a paper bag.

to add insult to injury, this was one of the "oddball" Ti4200's that Nvidias "magic" 52.xx drivers was incapable of fixing, so you couldnt update past the 42.xx or you would get constant freezing, etc. Not cool.

the PCP rep was useless, too.(Granted this was likely chaintechs fault, not his)

don't buy chaintech :(
