its deff 1600x900, none glossy. I have the U2442(non extreme, there are a crapload of versions but all called U2442(odd naming choice considering there is no naming scheme)) but with gt640 and i can play BFBC2 online(medium res), it is pretty cool gaming ultrabook, batter could be better tho, you have to change some power settings for it to be. It really is a pretty nice ultrabook, but it is one the edge of a ultrabook. I always get comments, people say, it looks like a mac, i tell them it might look like one but its got much better hardware, you can get it configured however you want.

i love how it looks, its even got a dual exhaust like a car with dual exhaust haha, its cool. When i travel to see my folks i take this, and i get my dose of BFBC2.

Also if you do buy one, check out the trackpad's settings, you will want to change some of them as there are some really cool features not enabled by default, like for instance the touchpad wont turn off while typing unless you enable that feature, nor can you scroll with the edges unless you enable that feature. However some things are enabled by default, like finger moments and palm detection for zoom and accident touching. The wifi is pretty good as well, and the bootup is SUPER fast, prob b/c of SSD + 3rd gen CPU and chipset.

I always feel like any vaio model is about $100-250 overpriced. Hopefully these prices will be reasonable when it hit the street.
