been meaning to post this question here as no one arounmd me seems to know. it's from a MP3 Player call the COWON iAudio U2 (Yes, i am collecting or trying to collect all the iAudio series Players) :slap:

As far as type of screw, what do you want to know? If you want dimensions, you'll have to use an appropriate tool to take your measurements. If you want to know what kind of drive it is (it was too blurry in the video), Wikipedia actually has a decent chart.

There is a picture of a similar screw in the link provided. Even if I can't describe it to you properly, I'm sure you're prudent enough to be able to figure out what it is, and as such I won't undermine your intelligence. The people posting below can give you a better answer.

^ that doesnt mean self tapping

self tapping screws have a sharp thread at the start which helps cut the thread as you cut in. i.e. the thread ends abruptly and not smoothly.

measure the diameter of the screw. diameter and length will give you what you need.

for eg M3 x 6 screws are 3mm in dia and 6mm long.

you can measure the dia by wrapping a string around the unthreaded part and measuring the total length and diving it by the no. of turns and "pi"
