Hi guys

My two GTX 680 arrived, I`m using it in SLI, each card has 4 gb of ram

I`m a little curious about the temps, i ply here at 2560x1400 and just tried the Tomb Raider now and without VGA overclock and the fans set to 75% i`m geting about 78/83C in the hottest card

Is it normal? I know that this one is a heavy game, at heaven benchmark i got about 73C in Extreme test with everything one

And if it`s not normal what should i do?

Thanks

Hi

Temps look about right 78~83c under load & between 44~47 at idle

nb: just ensure you have good air flow and *cable management in your pc case [*helps]

These are the 4Gb versions of the GTX 680 [Do Not flash]

*Use afterburner software to OC and set fan profile

Use GPU-Z to monitor temps of the VRM's - Note: Cards will throttle when they get near their max temps and will start to give negative fps

Max Recommended Temp 98c for the GTX 680; however it would be pushing the card to do this 24/7 [keep them under 90c]

IMO - you saved a little cash getting the reference cards but MSIs Twin Frozr coolers are just awesome and I totally dont regret buying mine even though they dump hot air inside the case.

Load temps are below 55'c even after hours of BF3. Not only do the Twin Frozr's run significantly cooler, they also run a lot lot quieter.
