Looking for a decent video card for my newest puter specs are
intel dp55sp motherboard
i5 750
hd2900 video
2x4 gig ddr 3 1600

Ive been looking at this one SAPPHIRE 100354OC-2L Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2G... but im open to suggestions since it being pci/e 3.0 and my motherboard pci/e 2.0

card is 184 after rebate sry

yup 7870 is a good option.

I think a NV 660 non-TI is also good alternative.

the one that you posted is not the Tahiti chip. The Tahiti chip is a much faster chip.

Im using a antec 850 power supply if u want to know rail voltages and stuff tell your moderators to lighten up a lil and i could post a link to show you. Thats the reason i havent been on this forum in so long is these power hungry mods Important nobodys

I had a 7850 I just sold for $145 - not much difference between it and a 7870.

I still have a 7770 available, but it's way below your budget
