how can i make my future system cheeper or better?

i am going to build a new computer at the end of summer '07. this is what i am planing to get so far form new egg.

it comes out to alot like 1200 bucks with shipping i was wondering if i could cheepen it up some how or make it better with out spending more money.

looking good but i think if the e6600 comes down in price u should get that over the e6400

your best plan, would be to wait untill summer actual comes, i know its nice to make lists to show off what you have found and people find themselves realy getting into it, but the fact remains you gota wait :p so why spend the time now :) . just a tip :toast:

He's right...

while it is nice to dream, you are better off saving your $$$ until you have $1200-$1500 to spend on a decent machine and buy all the parts at once. If you do that then they will all have about the same time on warranty coverage ( depending on store/manuf.) and by that time prices on some of the items you listed will have come down some. and you'll be able to put in more ram or a better GPU that you couldn't afford now. If you are going to be a lemming and get vista, better get 2GB or RAM.
