What are your opinions on this game? I head the story was so so, the graphics were OK, and the gameplay was passable, but what do you guys think?

Let me know if you own the game or just played it/read about it. I suppose what really counts is if those who have only played actually want the game afterwards. Let me know.

Thanks!

It's an alright game if you can pick it up for cheap. It held my interest from beginning to end, then it was over. Uninstalled and haven't played since.

I'm waiting for it to be $15-20. It's definitely worth $20 to me. It is pretty long and pretty flexible in terms of how to go about attacking everything.

Same here. Since porting has become so popular i find PC titles are priced higher than they used to and also takes them longer to hit bargain bins :(

Looking to move it? :)

I loved the game it's by far the best game I've played in awhile, but like everyone so far has said.. It has zero replay value, but if you do all the stuff in the game you can get 30+ hours out of it. I started playing it in Nvidia Surround mid way through and it made it even better. I'm thinking about starting over. I want to use some mods made for it on my second run. One of them is you can add attachments to every gun. Another one is some one made better sights. :toast:

This is what I'm waiting to do, hoping to get a nice deal during the Steam/Amazon/etc summer sales. I'm hoping from around $15

It is one of the first games that really kept my interest through the whole thing. But as others have said, it has no replay value.

And actually it got kind of dull going around taking over outposts once you get a silenced sniper rifle and can just take everyone out for a distance. But I still kept coming back and playing it every chance I could until I finished the story.

I thought it was great. Great deal at $20, I paid $35ish for it I think and am satisfied. Got around 25 hours of it, haven't found everything or leveled everything up either (or done all the side quests). Not much replay value as said IMO, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

worth $20-30 and has a small COOP campaign too. I enjoyed it a lot and wish coop could of been possible though the main sp campaign.

I got mine for $30 a hell long time ago from GS as in our store PC games barely sell so the PC games for hard copy's drop fast in price.

Its a bit of a "join the dots" game with cut scenes that are too long, however there are some excellent mods for it now, check out Ziggys mod v2.51, highly recommended and has great freedback. Transforms the game into more like FC2 except those dicky cut scenes...

It's a hoot to play but has some quirky things that can and have been modded out, IF you can find a mod to your liking. All the mods I tried had something quirky about them as well.

It def doesn't have as much replay value as the first one, but it's a far cry better than the 2nd. The best things about FC3 for me and many is the random encounters with wildlife. If that's not to your liking you may be put off by it though.

Really enjoyable game, not much replay value as has been said. I picked it up for $25 and played for about 20-25hours to completion.

Graphically gorgeous game as well.

I spent about 70 hours on farcry 3. But the game only has a few elements, that you just repeat over and over, so now i did everything i could ingame, i have exhausted the game, so now i feel there is no replay value for me, just like blood dragon.

I played it until I got to a mission where I was forced to be stealthy or it would fail the mission. I decided I didn't want to play stealthy as I should have the right to play however I want. I uninstalled after I realized it wasn't going to let me play the game the way I wanted to play.

And thats the whole problem with a lot of these games... Devs think its fun to dictate how one should play or else fail the game... either its lazy progamming or there so called "commercial formula" system that ruins the game and makes it appeal to the lowest I.Q. levels... disappointing for the bulk of PC gamers these days...

I really enjoyed the game. I really enjoyed the graphics and I have played it through 3 times. My only real complaint is the villains in this game. So much is made of Vaas but (without giving too much away) the ending of him was a disappointment. Otherwise the actor who played him did an amazing job and I hope it lands him in movies!

I say pick it up no matter what price you find it for.... however it should have come down in price because it has been out for awhile.

Yeah, the Dunia 2 engine is very good no doubt and some of the random comments the NPCs make are entertaining... :wtf: , I found the game more of an action/adventure type of thing than FPS style but you could'nt be creative with your tactics as much compared to FC1 & 2.

I love the game, looks great, plays great. It's just entertainment, but it's like a good action flick. I had over 70 hours in it. Well worth full price imo, even better at a cheap price. If you like far cry series it's worth it.

Its the best since the original, graphically its alright, certainly better than the mediocre comments.. must be opinion based on the console versions. Theres a lot of cool stuff to do in the game as well and what makes the game great is the hunting and mini-games etc you can do. If you focus purely on just the story you will miss a truckload of stuff the game offers. You should find this PC review useful.
