TNT2 (16MB) - Great card My friend was bragging about his 32Mb card, the TNT trounced it.
Geforce 440 mx (64MB) - Terrible draw distance on MOHAA, kept getting sniped without seeing anyone.
MSI 9800 Pro (128MB) - Classic
Geforce 8800GTX (768MB)
MSI 8600 gts passive (512 MB) HTPC - Massive cooler got in the way and cooked the cpu
Gigabyte 8600GT passive (512 MB) HTPC
Asus Matrix GTX580 (1.5GB)
Sapphire 5770 (1GB) HTPC
Asus Matrix GTX580 SLI (1.5GB) - Seemed like a good idea at the time... needs a lot of space/cooling so I sold one and the other just died a week ago.
MSI GTX 780 (3GB) - Should arrive any day :)

The 8800 GTS 320 was easily my favorite purchase of all those, and the FX5200 was easily the worst. The 9600 XT was an awesome card as well. I'm curious in a few years what I'll think of these 7970s as it's the first time I've done a truly high end setup.

Add to this 780 SLI... got tired of how loud my 7970 Lightnings were, and also got tired of the need to use framerate limiters to keep them smooth. Much, much happier with 780 SLI.

Yes I buy new card when really need because filters in games.
But now I little late, because last years I always go on fastest single and 680 had lock voltage I little late. But that now is real time for 780 Classified.
5870 is enough for little older games and off course without filters for all games.
But newer I keep for new card. Didn't play 10 best games waiting 780.

Swapped the 9800 GTX+ with a Radeon HD 4850 tonight, same video ram but the 9800 was causing random radio interference with the sound card, no idea why, but problem solved now (and the HD 4850 seems to be faster in just about everything). Only downside is the 4850 runs a bit warmer than the 9800 did, but then again 4850 is single-slot, 9800 is dual slot.

Cool thread, I'll give it a try with what I can remember

GF MX 440 (really wanted a 4-series Ti, but was too poor back then, don't remember the manufacturer)

Chaintech Geforce 6600 256MB DDR, the basic model of the line, again too poor for anything more up the scale but still had loads of fun with gems like HL2.

Innovision 3d 7300 GT 256MB DDR3, bought it at a store closing sale for cheap back in 2007, still going strong today, my little cousin plays WOW, WC3 and CS:S on it.

Sapphire 5770 Vapor-X 1GB, awesome card but expensive since I got it soon after launch.

2x Palit GTX460 Sonic 1GB, awesome overclocking potential, but crap cooling. Bought the second one three months down the line for my second desktop.

Asus Radeon HD6950 Direct CUII 1GB, still using it today in my second desktop, this card lead to the SLI-ing of the 460s. That was a bad idea from the get-go, they ran hot and noisy, so in early 2012 I sold them and got...

Sapphire Radeon HD7870 GE, my current card. Overclocks really good, performance is great and I'm not planning on changing it any time soon.
