I've recently upgraded my Arctic cooling 13 Pro CPU cooler for my 2500k to a Corsair H60 2013 edition water cooler and i am getting higher temperatures than before. Previously i was getting 48-50c idle with the AC but the H60 is getting idles of 55-55c and loads of 75c when playing Red orchestra 2. My AC 13 Pro was 60C load on that game. What on earth is causing the temps to be this high???

I've changed the CPU fan speed using AI suite to 100%. This will make sure the pump is at 100% as it is connected to the CPU_Fan on the motherboard.

My specs are (just the relevant bits):
Asus Z68V-LX
2500k @ 4.1GHZ 1.263V
Corsair H60
Corsair 650TX
Lancool K63B case

Just to illustrate

I'd suggest remounting the block on the cpu; make sure to reapply TIM.
Seems warmer than I'd expect, considering that my old H60 kept my 2600k cooler than that at 4.5ghz

I've reseated the back plate and applied pressure to make sure the holes for the screws are equal. I screwed in the screws and put some MX-2 on the cpu just to be sure. I then firmly reseated the Block and screwed that in and now it idles at 43-45c and load is 56-58C on Rising Storm. Where as it was 60-65C previously.

It was a very strange installation as i think the reason for the temperature problems was of course there not being good contact. I think those who have the same problem should apply much pressure on the back plate screw holes for them to protrude further outwards, as in my case was that 1 or 2 were not outwards enough so that one side of the CPU was not getting as much contact, hence why it was 65C on core 3 and the package was 75c
Room temps are 21C or 70F.

Mods can now close thread if desired.

Yes, If you read a lot of posts on AIO water block installs it seems this issue come up a lot .
I don't have one but from what i understand the block gets canted on the die, not making proper contact across whole thing .
It probably either not tightening each corner evenly or when tightening the backplate screws are loosening at the time ?

Either way most people solve it by remounting it carefully .
