[WTB][US] somebody just steal my money here

hello TPU members really need help here, as the title say someone steal my money in a deal from this one

the deal it's about buy iphone 5 from him for $280 in Jul 27, 2013 11:32 PM he send me the phone pictures to y e-mail everything looks ok, but i see he is new in forums so i do what is more security for me i just use invoice with paypal and told him to put deal info and also make my cousin pay it use him account cuz he is American Citizen.
after he received the money he tell me i got the money in Jul 31, 2013 03:28 AM, and after that no answer no respond on any message, i let my cousin contact paypal but i want some help guys here how can get back my money.

I too was contacted by a fresh account with no posts about a WTB thread of mine, he had no posts.. I didnt even bother to reply

Really sorry to hear that mate ,I have bought things off longterm Tpu'ers in far dodgier ways with no recourse but have never had any issues and the stuff turned up because longtermers tend to regard their word and name as worth something.
for example ive straight bank transferred cash, so a guy could party friday and i got the card within a week as he said and in the condition he said, were not all bad is all.

I would never in my life make a deal in that situation. Unless a reputable, long time member knew the person and vouched for them.

Just file a dispute with paypal and keep your fingers crossed. Sorry to hear of this, its these type of transactions that give doing business thru a marketplace a bad name. Just remember, to view how long a member has been with TPU and to make sure they have at least some Heatware to review before making a transaction. If its a new member with no heat work something out with the trader.....like half the cash until item has been received and the rest upon receipt.

I don't see the problem been with international, it is maybe an idea to only trade/sell with people that have been on here for a while, maybe 1k posts minimum or have good heatware.

I don't have no feedback on my heatware but have traded privately with moonpig quite a few times. I hope people on here would trust me

but about international i make a U.S citizen do the deal and he will ship it to me, so even with this case can't a U.S citizen do something to this thief ?

Honestly I wouldn't have dealt with someone that had zero heat and zero forum posts. Its kinda asking for a scam to happen. I had a guy on anandtech that had 5 heatware do a deal for a GTX280 that was shipped to FL were it was handed off to a international company that mails over seas. He said they tracked the package all the way to him but come to find out it only tracks until it hit the forwarding company and he claimed to Paypal that he never received it so I lost 120$ and a GTX280

sorry to hear that, maybe we need to get careful when do online transaction.

and i agree if someone want to sell or buy something he should like registered 6 months minimal or have 50 post or known well or he need to apply written form

so if we can make sure the person is right and wont thief your money
