I have rma'ed my corsair H100i because of the threaded screw holes i have on the side where theres a hose, dosn't have enough grip.

I am in a pain where i am thinking of NOT sending my cooler, because from denmark to holland the shipping, delivery costs is almost the same as a set of corsair sp 120 Quiet pwm fan (not much difference).

I would then buy the corsair 120 sp quiet pwm fans and use them on the side of the radiator where there threaded screw holes are okay (have had the std fans mounted this way, but i hate the sound from the standard fans).

I actually don't want to spend the money for the delivery costs to holland(so expensive), because i think it could solve my noise problem with the H100i standard fans, if i buy the 120 sp quiet fans instead of rma my cooler, like in this review where they are much more quiet then the sp 120 performance fans and the standard fans, temperatures are very close

http://www.kitguru.net/components/c...00i-performance-comparison-with-sp120-fans/4/

I only want 2 fans for the cpu cooler, don't think push pull is worth the extra money, noise.

I want less then 70 degress (celsius) with my i7 870 oc'ed to 3.520ghz (bclk 160) have about 68 degress using an air cooler and prime 95 for 25-30 min and as low noise as possible.

I also want the long screws with a 1 or 2 mm lower head, the washer is almost the size the screws are to high (just touching my air chimmney on my nanoxia deep silence 1 case), are these screws with a lower head then the standard screws?

ask corsair if they can send a replacement with provision for picking up the defective. they are a good company, so they just might!

So what exactly does that mean? (my native language is not english).

So they send my a new one and then take the old one and deliver it back to corsair where i don't have to pay anything?

Have recived an rma and was just about to send it before i though, my god it is expensive to sendt it to holland(have checked what the price was), might use the 8 holes on the radiator side with no hose(they are okay), and buy som sp 120 pwm quiet fans for the money delivery to holland costs.

I am again and again not recomended to buy the http://www.corsair.com/us/cpu-cooli...high-static-pressure-120mm-fan-twin-pack.html even when this review say the performance fans are only are 1-3 degress hotter then the performance fans and that the sp performance fans are not worth the money because they are as noise, loud as the standard fans (i feel the standard fans are loud) http://www.kitguru.net/components/c...00i-performance-comparison-with-sp120-fans/6/ could also sell it and buy a noctua NH-D14

This sounds reasonable to me.. If the stock fans does not meet your standards in noise level, then the QE 120 fans would be an ideal route you can take.

That being said, we can perhaps look at your case and see if there is anything I can do from my side to get this resolved. Did you submit an RMA to us or your re seller? and how long have you had to cooler now? If its us, let me know the ticket # and I'll see what I can do.

I bought it the 18-07-2013 in denmark in a store i couldn't return it after 14 days,30 day or 45day, my fault :( but on the other hand i didn't know i would have some problems (www.komplett.dk has 45 day return policy)

I was unhappy with the sound and the fact that i was a bit limited to how i can mount my fans on the radiator, do to the threaded screw holes on the side with the hose, that didn't let me tighten alle the screws enough, one fan wasn't as close to the radiator as the other one (more noise, ratteling ?).

The place where i bought it, was a place that just have opened a few weeks ago and have there main store in copenhagen, where someone every day they are open is making an 1 hour trip to the store, only on employe in the store (not all employees seemed to clever to me, although the guy i bought it from seemed to be a bit of a computer nerd like me).

I rma directly to corsair after i asked about my problem and if i could get it rma'ed, i didn't want to face some employee in the small store where i bought it, that might not know alot, it's you own fault, can't help you, just live with it.

I asked alot of question on corsairs forum + other places, before i today almost took it to the post office i thought, why almost pay the price of 2 silent fans for delivery to holland and i would still have noisy fans (love my 3 silent corsair af Quiet case fans, nanoxia deep silence 1 case), why not forget about the rma and try some silent fans on the good side of the radiator, although on corsair's forum i was not recommended to buy sp quiet fans (noctua NF-f12pwm fans are surpose to be very good, but they are so expensive).

I asked again and i now found out i actually have to send the whole cooler, not just the radiator and the fans that i have made ready to take to the post office.

Just to let you know, I wanted to RMA my problematic M60 mouse to Corsair but I didn't because of the shipping cost to The Netherlands. I was surprised when one month after sending my RMA request Corsair contacted me through email and offered to pay the shipping cost themselves (I believe it was with UPS). The delivery man even came to my door at a designated date and time to pick up my packed m60 mouse! All this at no cost...

gasolin - Thanks for explaining your case and for providing your ticket #. I do understand where you are coming from. Now, my question is, would you like to get that cooler replaced? if so, let me know and I'll work out the shipping arrangement, BUT, If you decided to go with the SP120 QE fans route, then you'll just have to buy those fans. Let me know.

corsair is good. look at kaynars case. that was what i was telling. they will often pay for shipping and have someone pickup the defective part and drop off a new replacement :)

corsair probably has the best customer service among all the computer companies.

I have sent it to holland, i would like to try it with some silent fans i can control with corsair link, before i say to loud, to noisy and sell it(they are noisy with the standard SP120L fans, even at 500rpm it annoys me, on corsair's forum i have been recommended not to buy the sp120qe fans)

If that happens i will deside if am gonna keep my silent thermalright true spirit 140 or buy the old but still current king of cpu air coolers Noctua NH-D14(curious about how good the noctua is, everywhere the noctua NH-D14 is just the best, the king of cpu air cooler's), my i7 870 cpu is oc'ed with ht to 3.520 ghz and i wouldn't mind 4.0ghz but then i have to turn of ht or else my cpu would give me bsod,it will freeze

I wonder why the hydro series isn't with the good air series fans instead of the noisy standard fans, i mean not everybody that replace them buy corsair fans. It's just an advantage for companies like noctua,vortex,scythe... that people buy fans from if they what to replace the stock H100i fans instead of buying corsair fans.

I just sold my old H100 and put two SP120 Quiet Edition high static pressure fans on it. The fans that came with my H100 were so loud I replaced them first thing after getting it.

The threads on my h100i sucked as well. Also the fans are louder but move less air than the 38 cm thick monsters i run now.

Yes indeed the threads are very fragile, i tried some placements of the radiator to get the best mounting and was surprised the holes where less then perfect the same day i got it.

They fans are loud, they are a very big difference from low spl where theres a buzz and to max rpm (loud) when doing som benchmark or extreme gaming using 2-3 screens and 1-2 big gpu's the swiftech feels much more harmonic fra low to highest rpm
