The issue..
Whenever I play any pretty graphically intense video game, sometimes my PC will just shut off. This could happen within 15 minutes of playing or a few hours. It mainly happens right after I exit Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, it shuts it down.

My Power Supply, hard drive, sound card and graphics card are all new (maybe 2-3 months old now)

Has anyone had this issue before? Any idea what is causing this? It is driving me absolutely crazy...

hmm, i had a friend with similar issues / bsods, on what might actually be the same cpu & mobo

it was fine for years at first

maybe it's the mobo?

you say psu is new, what was the previous one? are you able to try it again?

Few things I can think of:

1. If you haven't cleaned your PC guts please use air can or compressed air, mainly CPU fan.
2. Check for driver updates (Graphics, mobo etc)
3. Check for Bios updates for the mobo
4. Clear bios using the jumpers and reset the bios values you intended to have and try again.

Old PSU was a POS and could quite possibly be the source of my grief.
Was a Hyper 860w

Can you confirm if he had the same mobo/cpu? The thing is, I don't get any bsods or anything, it just shuts down as if the power went out..

My rigg is pretty clean, I always clean it out whenever I add new parts into it.
Drivers have all been updated to the latest, I did a fresh format when I got my new hard drives and rebuilt my RAID 10
No bios updates
I'll try the jumpers, but I think it's a long shot in all honesty..

Heat is unlikely. Once it happens I check my bios and my cpu temps are about 40-45c.
I also set my gpu fan speed to 100% along with the fact that the antec 1200 has superb aircooling.. I've got 8 120mm fans in this case pulling air in from the front for negative pressure.
