Better than 1 year warranty of mechanical drives.

My RED drives offer a 3 year warranty and my BLACK drives in my desktop have a 5 year. And those cost considerably less than a PCI-e based SSD. I expect a minimum of 3 years and I would appreciate at least 5 for such a high-priced, high performance piece of equipment like this.

A few points on product warranties...

1. A longer warranty does not mean a better quality product

2. Longer warrantied items usually have higher prices to cover warranty claims

3. Most warranties are pro-rated after the first year which means you may get next to nothing on a trade-in/exchange for a warrantied product - especially based on the Suggested Retail price, not the street price

4. Read the warranty terms VERY carefully as you may be quite surprised at the terms being used on SSDs.

5. If a reliable product is your desire, buy the SSD with the best reputation.

This is just a msata ssd on a pci-e sata adapter. Nothing special here.

Might seem so but did you see those read and write speeds and the IO figures? Makes you wonder if it isn't a tad bit more complex.

I never quite understood HD warranties, who wants to send in a HD full of private info and login data when it fails?

The MX-EXPERSS continues our tradition of catering to power users who want the fastest and smoothest performance.

Did they really misspell their own product's name?
