Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Electronics Arts, Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) to create a range of Titanfall-branded gaming products. Expected to be in stores for the launch of Titanfall, the Titanfall-branded product range includes TRITTON gaming headsets, R.A.T. mice, S.T.R.I.K.E. keyboards, F.R.E.Q. gaming headsets and G.L.I.D.E. gaming surfaces.

Mad Catz is excited to bring a range of cutting-edge, innovative, Titanfall-branded products to gamers in connection with one of the most anticipated game launches in recent history," said Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. I'm more interested to see if nVidia and EA can resist the urge to tie Titanfall and Titan together somehow.

Especially given that's one of the few games EA is publishing that wouldn't be impacted by the recent movement of Frostbyte to Mantle because Titanfall isn't built on Frostbyte. It's built on Source.

No idea what titanfall is about, will do homework...
The wired RAT7 mouse is top class. The FREQ headset could be better (real 100% sturdy like the RAT...).
Only I never found a functional use for the horizontal wheel on the RAT 7 mouse. Could be ideal for Win8 swiping...

If VALVE has got any weight to their SteamMachine dreams, they'll work in Source (and Source 2...) for Mantle...

And as I suspect the XBO/PC Titanfall codebase won't be all that different anyway..
