Hey guys,
I'm building a budget gaming rig at approx 1000$,
the monitor is 1920*1280 so I built it accordingly.
I would appreciate if you could help me find out if the rig is bottlenecked or not, and your overall thoughts about the parts.
There are no specific games, just would like to run at the mentioned resolution in an acceptable frame rate.
important to point out that i'm from Israel so the prices here are more expensive than in the US.
This is what I came up with so far:

Intel Core i5 4430 Haswell 3.0Ghz 6MB L3 Cache s1150 - Tray
Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H LGA1150, Intel H87, DDR3 1600
Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 CO / Arctic Freezer Xtreme Rev.2
Sapphire Radeon HD 7790 Dual-X OC 1GB GDDR5 DX11 PCI-E
Western Digital Caviar Blue WD10EZEX 1TB Sata III
G.Skill 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz Ares Dual Channel CL9-9-9
SeaSonic G-550 550W Gold Modular G-Series Active PFC 12CM
Samsung SH-224BB/DB DVD±RW x24 Black Sata
CoolerMaster N300 Mid Tower ATX

Thank in advance,
proren.

You should try get at least a video card that has 2gb of gddr5. I had an 650 1gb and it lagged badly on bf4 probably the 7790 works better, but alot of games are recommending 2gb. Just so you know. You can get alot of frame times info on various rigs by just searching on YouTube. (at the moment I don't have the time to look for the best card for you.) Good luck :toast:

Agree. At a price of $1000 I don't recommend Intel processors. A graphics card does most of the heavy lifting in games, and the CPU is taking the backseat more and more.
I recommend pissing more money into a graphics card.

totally feel like a jackass, just spent like half an hour on newegg building this nice rig only to read you're in israel lol.

If you could link some online pc part e-tailers it'd be nice. one question, why do you have an aftermarket cooler? you can't overclock that cpu so the stock cooler will do fine. its always nice to have better cooling but if that's your build for $1k, then i'd cut out the cooler and use that money to get a better card.

EDIT: also, seasonic is of the best when it comes to PSU's, but they're also pretty expensive. You could put a corsair or OCZ PSU in there that would do the job just fine for probably cheaper, and again throw that money to a better GPU. change the PSU, get rid of the cooler, and that should net you i'd guess around 50 bucks to throw to a 7850, GTX 650 Ti boost(boost is big diff from just Ti), or GTX 660

Hey guys, thanks a lot the comments!

CPU - the cheapest AMD i can is FX-8150, in the same price of the i5 4430.

PSU - i have the following cheaper options (sorted from the cheapest):
Corsair VS550
Seasonic SS-500ET
Corsair CX 500W V2
Antec Neo Eco 520C
SeaSonic M12II-520

GPU - i can squeeze in the following (sorted from the cheapest):
Zotac GTX650 Ti BOOST 2GB
Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 1GB
Gigabyte GTX650 Ti BOOST 2GB
Asus GTX650 Ti BOOST 2GB

Please let me know your thoughts!
Thank again,
proren.

EDIT:
tried translating the Israeli online retailer, tell me if it works..

Avoid Corsair VS, the next Seasonic looks alright. Corsair CX is fine if you are not pushing your rig, the other two are very good. If the cheapest AMD you can find is 8150, get the 4430 instead. You really need to squeeze in a better graphics card though, unless you are fine with playing games at high not very high or ultra. Easier to drive games like DotA 2 will run just fine, you will need to turn down eyecandy for games like Crysis 3.

With Seasonic SS-500ET and stock cooling for intel i5 4430,
I have enough room in the budget for these GPUs (sorted from the cheapest):
Zotac GTX650 Ti BOOST 2GB
Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 1GB
Gigabyte GTX650 Ti BOOST 2GB
Asus GTX650 Ti BOOST 2GB

I'm leaning towarding the GTX650 Ti BOOST 2GB since it has more DDR,
whats more suiting to my rig ? the Gigabyte or Asus ?

I have no intention of OCing if i havn't mentioned already.

650Ti Boost just doesn't cut the mustard at 1080p, get Zotac out of the 4 if you have to.

That is the older Bulldozer FX CPU, look for the newer Piledriver FX 8320/8350. The FX6300 is a good choice too.

7790 is a weak card to consider for that resolution on newer games.

Don't confuse the GTX 650Ti with the GTX 650Ti Boost, the Boost is on par with the 7850. TPU review even has it slightly faster.

To the OP the GTX 650Ti Boost and 7850 level of card is the minimum you want to be shooting for.
