SAPPHIRE Technology, the world leading supplier of graphics cards based on the latest GCN (Graphics Core Next) architecture from AMD, has just announced that it will now bundle vouchers for the exciting new game Battlefield 4 with several new products in its recently launched R-Series of graphics accelerators.

Battlefield 4 has been heralded as the most exciting and realistic game to be launched for some time, and looks its best and runs most smoothly on GCN based graphics cards. SAPPHIRE originally launched a Special Edition of the flagship R9 290X graphics accelerator bundled with a Battlefield 4 voucher.

Now the game voucher will be included with additional members of the R-Series. These include the SAPPHIRE R9 290 - recently launched to great critical acclaim as great value for money for the gaming enthusiast - and several products in the SAPPHIRE Dual-X series.

The voucher will only be bundled with specially branded editions of the SAPPHIRE R9 280X Dual-X, the SAPPHIRE R9 280 Dual-X, the SAPPHIRE R9 270X Dual-X and the brand new SAPPHIRE R9 270 Dual-X. The R9 270 is a new member of the series with a similar architecture to the R9 270X, but operating at lower clock speeds, offering all the features of this series to users on a more limited budget.

All the members of the Dual-X series use SAPPHIRE exclusive dual extraction technology - a highly efficient cooler with graduated heatpipes and two aerofoil section fans running quietly and efficiently to deliver great performance with low noise levels.

Cards with the Battlefield 4 voucher will be available to order from November 13th from SAPPHIRE's existing etailers and retailers.

This is the issue I harped on about before. BF4 is NOT FREE with 290X cards, at least not in UK. It's not bundled. You pay £427-485 ish for a plain boxed R9 290X or you pay £505-515 ish for the BF4 edition. The card is the same - no frills. That's a premium of £78 worst case or £30 if you're silly enough to pay maximum dosh for either variable. That's not free.

Jeeeeez.

I wonder if they will add the Radeon Gold Reward tickets as well in addition to BF4. Also, Thief is being added to the Silver tier of the Radeon Rewards promo.

This is part of the reason why I cancelled my initial order of my Sapphire R9 290. That and the fact that I would hate to void my warranty by installing an aftermarket cooler on it just to keep it at reasonable temps. Oh well, I'm in no hurry. I'm sure they will arrive around the end of the year.

Haha, great news!

I already bought r9 280x and BF4!
Thanks AMD for reminding me it's stupid to be an early adopter!

Sucks for the early adopters.

I got to say, I wouldn't recommend playing BF4 @ 1080p with either the 270 or 270X. With the current poorly optimized netcode and the fact your fps will be below 60 or even 45, what's the point?

Choose a proper setting and you can still enjoy the game, just like how Tomb Raider was bundled with 7850 before.

SAPPHIRE R9 280 Dual-X, <- Is that a typo or will the 280 be out by the time this bundle is released?

Sweet!

I had BF4 on pre order and canceled it in hopes of this news. I want to get a new Sapphire R series card in December, most likely. Looks like it will be awesomeness times two. :toast:
