I also have the Origin 300i. My Constellation will be mainly salvage, exploration, and trade, while the 300i is going to be my combat/support/freelance craft. You can keep my role as multi, as I see myself having a separate ship for each of my roles, lol. Already looking at an Avenger for privateer work. :roll:

Can't wait to see the ships they put up for sale on the 26th!

The Avenger is going to be a sweet ship. Apparently there are two versions now. The one that is in the hangar now is the training version with two seats. That one will be replaced with a single seater that has access to the cargo bay. It's like a mini-Freelancer.

Trying to decide which package to buy. I want a Constellation cause it seems that will be the best exploration ship, but it's $225. The Pathfinder pledge comes with a 315p exploration ship.

so i melted my 300i for an Avenger (Advanced Hunter)... I actually don't plan on doing as much bounty or combat as say transport, but it's just a cooler ship

also, i plan to die much more in that ship than any i get in game or without LTI for other uses.

How is the Constellation going to be for exploration? I'm looking for a nice exploration ship I can use solo but doesn't lack some firepower to stand on its own in light fighting. According to the site, I can have a friend man the turret as well.

What advantages does the Constellation have over, say, a 315p?

the Consty is a 4-man craft. You have a pilot, two people in turrets, and a fourth who can man the onboard craft, depart, and assist. Just because it's a 4-man craft doesn't mean you need 4 players, however. You can hire NPC mercs to man the turrets, not sure about the assist ship, though. Although, considering the price of a Constellation, I probably wouldn't trust NPCs to keep me from being blown apart by privateers or Vanduul.

For strictly-solo exploration, I would go with the Aurora or Origin 315p. If you decide to go with the Origin 3xx, don't forget that the 300i can be outfitted as the other variants, it'll just take in-game credits to purchase the upgrades. You could even choose a different ship and equip it with a long-range engine for exploration.

I was reading that a friend can log on and jump into my ship whenever he wants to. So that would need a ship with at least one turret or one craft. I gotta do some more reading. The website doesn't really cover all the info.

Alright, so I finally logged in tonight to check out my new hangar and Constellation.
I must say, the sight brought a tear to my eye. The Constellation is gorgeous, inside and out. I can't wait to get her into space.
At first look around the new hangar, I thought I had lost my Han Solo outfit/civvies, but found it upstairs.
The only thing that concerns me is this: where's the snub-fighter(P52, I believe) that's supposed to be in the Consty's cargo bay? Is it not yet in the hangar module, or must you buy it separately? If you have to buy it separately, that'll piss me right the fuck off. :banghead:

Im pretty sure the Merlin is in the game, though I don't own a connie so I cant be sure. I can tell you that it doesnt need to be bought separately lol

I found it. In the cargo bay, towards the back where the bunks are, there's a small platform with some windows on it. Through the windows, you can see the Merlin. It's completely untextured and inaccessible at this point, though.
I feel like a dumbass now, lol.
Oh well, I have my Constellation and am still marveling at it. :laugh:
