Now that I'm in my mid twenties, I laugh at how stupid a decision that was. The moment I got home and turned on that PS3, it was totally bricked: BLOD was there.
Yeah you never know what to expect with the new release consoles. Always seem to have issues one way or another but so far my PS4 is working well. (knock on wood)
I don't see how age has anything to do with buying at release or waiting in long lines. Please don't tell me that at your mid twenties you are just so wise now. lol
We consumers will do stupid things if we want something bad enough. I'm 40 years old and if I want to wait in line for 2 hours for some new game at midnight; I'll do just that.
Getting a bricked unit sucks but for every bricked unit there are tons of working units out there.
Stores won't raise the price unless they do it by creating bundles. In that case it is usually still cheaper buying the bundle then all of the bundled items by themselves.
I overpaid for my PS4 but I don't give a shit. It's done, the money is gone and I have a PS4 right now. I'll just kick back, play some games, wait for some good AAA titles and be happy.
I should add that I have little patience for waiting. lol If I want something then I buy it. Having a good paying job and a wife that makes even more money means we can have things that we want. (Though I admit she mostly saves and I only spend a set amount per month generally)
