Gateway today announces its first touch screen notebook models in its popular LT and NV Series of notebook PCs. The two new touchscreen notebook lines -- the Gateway LT41P and Gateway NV570P -- feature HD touch screen displays that are crisp and vibrant, so customers can interact with their notebook in ways that are intuitive, convenient and enjoyable.

The new notebook lines allow customers to do more on the go for school, work and fun, and are available in prices that will fit into any budget. They are especially well-suited for small business users who may want to purchase a new PC by the end of the tax year, students who need it for school, or for families who need a way to stay in-touch and informed.

"The new Gateway LT41P and NV570P lines are great mobile companions for people who want the convenience and enjoyment of a touch-screen display with the productivity of a built-in keyboard," said Eric Ackerson, Gateway product marketing manager. "The 10-point touch interface is a natural way to interact with the notebook, as it enhances so much of what busy PC users enjoy, such as educational apps, browsing websites, scrolling through reports and playing games. The new Gateway lines are ideal for customers who put a premium on productivity-enhancing technology that still lets them stay within their budget."

Both new notebook lines feature sleek frameless edge-to-edge displays surrounded by new streamlined chassis' that are classic and elegant. The touch screens provide a first-rate viewing experience with 10-point touch that provides easy and convenient access to apps, photos, music and more. Customers can pinch, flick and swirl their fingers on the multi-gesture touchpad for intuitive navigation of web pages, photos and more. The new notebooks come with touch-optimized Windows 8, giving customers the ability to get fast access to their contacts, apps, and websites.

Customers can experience additional touch screen capabilities with Gateway Touch Tools, which comes preinstalled on both new lines. The program can be launched with 3-finger touch to allow users to capture images, add notes, easily share with social networks or paste into any Microsoft Office documents.

Gateway LT41P Series Notebooks Combine Compact Size with Computing Essentials
The new Gateway LT41P is sleek, slim and boasts a stunning 10.1-inch HD LCD touch display that enables customers to get more from their PC. The display highlights crisp and clear images with a 1366 x 768 resolution supported by Intel HD graphics. The HD audio via two stereo speakers further complements video, websites and casual games.

The system delivers everything needed in a thin and mobile package that measures just over one inch and weighs only 2.83 pounds. Because it's so slim, customers can take it with them anywhere to stay in touch on social networks, communicate with friends and family and watch HD videos online. Plus, the Gateway LT41P notebook line provides solid everyday computing with Intel Celeron processors, 2 GB DDR3L SDRAM, up to a 500 GB hard drive, and 5 hours of battery life.

Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 Edition comes ready to be activated on the new Gateway LT41P at no additional expense. Customers can stay productive with it to create and edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote documents on the go, at the office, home, or school.

Gateway NV570P Series Pairs Large 15.6-inch Displays with Intel Core processors
New Gateway NV570P notebooks feature the powerful combination of a large 15.6-inch HD widescreen LED-backlit touch screen display and powerful 3rd generation Intel Core processors. Customers will appreciate that the NV570P's large display provides ample room for vibrant and realistic images for spreadsheets, apps and streamed video. The Intel Core processors provide a fast and fluid working environment for handling more advanced multitasking. The systems come with up to 8 GB of DDR3 SDRAM as well as Intel HD Graphics 4000 with 128 MB of dedicated system memory, so video and multitasking can be handled with ease. The system also provides HD audio support and dual stereo speakers.

The Gateway NV570P notebook line ensures users will always have ample room for their media and files thanks to large hard drives with up to 750 GB of capacity. Most models in the NV570P line are integrated with a super-multi DVD drive that is M-DISC READY for proven permanent archival quality data. With it, customers can back up important data, such as family photos and video, to M-DISC media that is designed to last up to 1,000 years.

Connectivity to Do More
Both the Gateway NV570P and LT41P help customers stay connected, whether it's to the Internet, to other devices, or via a webcam to family and friends. Both new notebook lines have 802.11b/g/n wireless to connect to networks and hotspots. The systems' HD webcams are ideal for video chatting as well as capturing crisp images for posting and sharing.

Customers can instantly connect to a big screen TV or external monitor with a single HDMI cable to extend the HD viewing experience. Both new PC lines provide a fast connection to the latest consumer electronics such as phones via their two USB 2.0 ports. Also, the Gateway NV570P delivers an even speedier connection via a fast USB 3.0 port. Content can also be transferred easily with the systems' SD card reader. Connecting wirelessly to devices such as printers is also just a click away, since both the Gateway NV570P and LT41P have Bluetooth connectivity.

Pricing and Availability
The manufacturer's suggested retail pricing (MSRP) for the Gateway LT41P Series notebook line with a 10.1-inch display and Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 starts at $329.99. MSRP for the Gateway NV570P Series with a 15.6-inch display starts at only $449.99. Both new lines come with a one year limited parts and labor warranty.
