HDD failing?

I've just run a health check on my Dad's laptop using HD Tune as he's been having problems (not booting), and the results are shown in the screenshot attached. Does this mean the hardrive is failing?

Update - Also just ran a quick test using Western DigitalLifeguard Diagnostics, which failed, stating:

Quick Test on drive 1 did not complete!
Status code = 07 ( Failed read test element) Failure checkpoint = 97 (unknown test)

Don't really know much about this, but from Googling, I'm guessing the drive is likely to fail imminently?

Count of "unstable" sectors (waiting to be remapped, because of unrecoverable read errors). If an unstable sector is subsequently read successfully, the sector is remapped and this value is decreased. Read errors on a sector will not remap the sector immediately (since the correct value cannot be read and so the value to remap is not known, and also it might become readable later); instead, the drive firmware remembers that the sector needs to be remapped, and will remap it the next time it's written.[29] However some drives will not immediately remap such sectors when written; instead the drive will first attempt to write to the problem sector and if the write operation is successful then the sector will be marked good (in this case, the "Reallocation Event Count" (0xC4) will not be increased). This is a serious shortcoming, for if such a drive contains marginal sectors that consistently fail only after some time has passed following a successful write operation, then the drive will never remap these problem sectors.

in other words; drive might be on its way out so backup the data now, asap
then try do full formatting it, or even a low level format, fill it with 1s and 0s to see if it changes anything

Reallocated Sector count is usually a big red flag that all is not right, and yours has fallen to just above the threshhold. Get everything off that drive now that you can, and look to replace that HD.

You can repair it and get a workable HDD. but for SSD, if it failed, you will loss all.

+1. I can't stress this enough. That drive is fkd and soon your data will be as well.

In other programs those values would be red instead of yellow.

But yeah +1 on everything. Backup, replace.
