I really, really hope this card ships with the silent mode as default and they send a sample to all those that tested 290x in only 'stock'/quiet mode. I would hope those sites would then spend weeks trying to figure out why it's boost is generally not a solid 1020mhz like their review sample 780ti...and then compare it to a stock (sapphire toxic) 290x.*

(*please don't take this flamebait seriously...it's in jest. I don't really care about semantic arguments regarding stock testing, and neither should you.)

Why nVidia is keep pushing for this TXAA garbage is beyond my comprehension. It has the WORST quality of AA of any techniques and also WORST performance.
Hell, even the filters like SMAA is light years above this crap both in quality and specially performance.

I've only tried it in 2 games : Assassin's Creed III and IV :Black Flag. In AC3, the performance drops are too significant but in AC4, the 2xTXAA is only slightly worse compared to SMAA or FXAA but offers pretty much no jaggies at 1080p. It's image quality is probably even better that what 4xMSAA could produced but at a much lower performance drop

Doesn't blur the image like FXAA or MLAA? I've seen some horror screens on the internets...

Not that I could see in ACIV or it's too little to even notice. Pictures don't really do justice since if I move around, I can tell straight away TXAA looks way better.

EDIT: I played around a couple minutes more and this time I can finally see a bit of blurriness at the leaves with TXAA. Very minimal imo

That's fine. Both look almost identical. Personally I use the injector since it provides better and sharper image, but you can choose which solution is faster. Quality looks almost the same. ;)
