How well does your GTX 780 Ti overclock compared to TPU's reference review sample?

I have had mine at 1240mhz core for gaming and benchmarking with no issues but I have only pushed my VRam to 1820mhz. I'll eventually see what I can get out of my Vram stable. When I do I will update here.

It's more like who would have picked a 780Ti already has several Titans or 780 and it doesn't make any sense to upgrade.

Marginally faster at half the price, which is slightly overpriced already. But in no way as expensive as Titan, therefore might appeal to those you didn't want to pay 1k for a Titan an had a GTX500 or 600 series card.

I upgraded from dual HD 6870s so the difference is phenomenal. I have always been one to run two mid range cards because the performance is usually greater than one top end card for cheaper. I had originally planned on getting either dual 770s or dual 280xs. But the 780Ti was fast enough to give me the gameplay experience I wanted...even if I paid a bit more per frame. On average the 780Ti is only about 15~20 fps behind dual 770s without the hassle of dual cards or the extra heat.

This is where I was. I had a GTX 570 and was waiting for the AMD lineup to see if the 780 would drop in price (which it did). Then when they announced the 780ti I decided to wait to see what the specs were, if it was going to be a fully unlocked gk110 for around the price of the 780 before the price drop then I was going to go with it. It was, so I did. I'm very happy with the performance too, I have both of mine with mild OCs but my results are partly affected by the fact I'm not going over voltage or temperature target AND it's SLI instead of single card. I think if I overclocked them separately, upped the temperature to 90 or 95 degrees and went to 106% voltage I'd probably see similar results to the TPU sample.

I've got 75% ASIC quality, I've seen up to 1274 on the base clock never seen it pass 53 degrees on my loop with 0.75mv added. Mine is almost as good as the TPU sample.

hello guys!
i'm new to gpu oc'ing. i've just played with my 780ti sc sli with +100mhz for both memory and gpu clock offsets on Presicion X, and now my clock shows 1.228 mhz@ 1.174/1.111v. but when i run Unigine Heaven benchmark. it shows "graphics: 1433mhz", what's this?

Also is there a reasonable overvolt that i can keep for everyday gaming on my cards? and is it worth it. i'm running custom loop so temps aren't problem. on Heaven benchmark it never went higher then 43 degrees on extreme settings.

you can run modded BIOS, but reference cards like your kind of are only do 1.212 V for GPU.

As to the clock speeds... Try GPU-Z monitoring or nvinspector, and see what they say for clocks.

yeh so my clock is 1228mhz and memory is @1800 atm. thats at 1.111/1.174v so that means ive got some room? what overvolt is possible for everyday use?

just wanna see if i can push it a bit further without flashing bios.

Just that 1.212V is possible, can try EVGA's Precision tool to adjust voltage, or ASUS GPU Tweak.

But, the clock scaling and Turbo boost can affect how stable clocks are, so pushing a custom BIOS like what you can find in the 780 Ti clubhouse on overclock.net can allow for more consistent clocks than the stock BIOS can. Occam'sRazor, the user that has made these custom BIOSes(or at least a member of the team that made them), offers modded BIOS for each 780 Ti, making it very easy to find the right BIOS, get it flashed, and then push the clocks up.


I have 3x 780 Ti, but on stock reference cooler, and they do not clock very well on air with the default fan profile. I get the same 1228, actually, with fans @ 100%. at times I think these cards are limited by PCB design, and given that cards like the K1ngp1n edition exist and clock like mad on air, that definitely seems to be the case.
