Issues while in game

Hi all
Just installed a ssd in my pc, formatted the existing drive and installed windows 7 on the ssd many moments later after installing all updates origin and a couple of games, when I am in game bf4 or fifa14 after 10-15mins playing it will go back to desktop with either game minimized and it keeps on doing this throughout my gameplay. I have not installed anything different and this is the first time this has ever happened to me any suggestions?

looks like a startup app is causing it. go to msconfig (type msconfig in the start run bar) and disable all of the startup items -- most people say this fixes that.

Do you see any tooltip notes or popups asking if you want to change the color scheme to Basic?
If it's happening repeatedly within a few seconds of one another, that sounds like a graphics card driver issue.

I have experienced something similar and it's like the program is constantly alt-tabbing back and forth.

@NEW's advise is Solid. I TOO have found that disabling Desktop composition, or Scaling can resolve being thrown back to Desktop while running Origin based games.

But when that IS the issue, there is a Message regarding the reason , and is generally in My experience a request to reduce the themes impact on performance.

I have just disabled everything on start up and seems to solve the problem I have a feeling it maybe to do either with my mouse drivers or the asus gpu tweak as I have just put an asus gtx 760 in my rig.

Origin, much like Ubi's Uplay, can cause havoc with some games. Many have found just disabling their overlay clears up most if not all of it.

That said, if it IS the aforementioned Windows thing, whereby it asks if you want to switch to basic mode, launching Origin with it's shortcut set to disable themes and desktop composition via right clicking the shortcut and clicking properties/compatibility, can also alleviate such problems.

I don't know about Origin, I suspect it's similar, but Uplay I've found uses up around 152-192MB of RAM, while Steam only uses about 25-58MB. It also matters how efficiently these game browsers perform their tasks, and Uplay and Origin aren't nearly as low impact in that regard as Steam is.
