can someone tell me diference betveen dual gpu and hibrid crosfire!!iv´e read in few sites about it and some say its same and some say its something new and difrent.
and can someone tell me what gpu will that new apu suport for (dual gpu,crossfire)??
something that also is confusing on the net!!
or maybe we wait for tomorow when we see it in the market!!
they sopouse to come out tomorow,and i didnt heard nothing about any kind of delays..so i guse more info tomorow..,but still something to talk about!! cheers guys

Dual GPU is using two identical GPU's to process frames. Hybrid crossfire is sharing load between an iGPU and a dedicated GPU (aka, AMD 6800K + HD 6670)

Regarding to your Kaveri reference: It has been said in Mantle presentations that applications supporting Mantle will have to possibility of very granular load balancing between the kaveri iGPU and discrete (GCN) GPU's (if they correctly implement this in their code). This would mean that a hybrid crossfire setup with kaveri and for an instance a Radeon 7770 should be able to perform very close to its theoretical maximum.

However, nothing is certain yet when it comes to Mantle, so you might want to wait untill some games running mantle are out if you're aiming for this.

Nobody knows, it hasn't been confirmed which GPU will Hybrid crossfire with it. The general consensus it that it is obviously a low end R7 part.

Rumour has it that it could be the HD 7770 renamed/badged DX11.2 equivalent, something like the R7 260 but more likely the 240, take a look here and guesstimate your specs matches!

I heard a crazy speculation that due to the unified memory of HSA it can theoretically hybrid-crossfire with anything GCN. It just goes into an "assistance" mode for the CPU. As to what this accomplishes is again a complete mystery. Paper launch and still surround by a fat ass gray cloud :rolleyes:

either they havent figured a way to get it working properly or they havent passed it on to their PR dept to hype the shit out of it before people realize how much of a disappointment it is.

The CPU is for the mainstream budget market, most of that market won't hybrid crossfire so i guess that they want to concentrate on the actual product launch first before complicating things further for the "average Joe".

Sometimes it actually worked:

IIRC that A10 was similar in price to that i3. Often it didn't work at all though. It is a complete mess, if AMD manages to make it work as intended in at least the majority in games it could be pretty good. There are a lot of "ifs" around AMD.

Yup it certainly does work with Kaveri & a lowly R7 240 but if it (Dual Graphics) were compatible with an R9 or even a high(er) end R7 (say 260x) then that'd be really awesome :rockout:

Just a laymans speculation but I'd think that if it COULD crossfire with a R9 GCN card it would bottleneck it?

The processor or the GPU?
I had a 750K (5800K with gpu disabled), and it didn't bottleneck my 780 on 1440p res.

At stock possibly but with a Turbo of 4gig for some of them probably not but to be honest most that hybrid will be gamers/enthusiasts so maybe will overclock. Personally I would need to see a hybrid compatibility with R9 before I would beleive it, just sounds too good to be true.

That really depends on the task being run but if HSA & Mantle take off, the way AMD is promoting them, then I doubt the 7850K would be much of a bottleneck in all but the most CPU intensive tasks.

R7 260X wouldn't work as they mention only DDR3 memory will work. still it's awesome to know the 240 or 250 will work. i have a 7750 Dual-Graphic'ed in my rig and man i can play BF3 all work on ultra except for shadows, AA, and the process settings. BF4 doesn't run and is buggy (i get major bad lag spikes after maybe 5min into playing)
