Full screen game freezing requires sign out under windows 8.1

ok so i noticed..
whenever i play a full screen game under 8.1, and it freezes, i can't simply use task manager to quit out. in fact i can't even VIEW task manager.
i have to physically LOG OUT of my 8.1 account and then sign back in to exit out of it
this should not be happening if you ask me
is there a fix for this or am i gonna have to go back to ugly windows 7?
so far it's done it with Fallout: New Vegas AND Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour
does anyone else ever have this issue?
any help is appreciated

This has nothing to do with 8.1. Something broke somewhere. Try fresh driver reinstall

Never had issues with 8.1 in any way.reinstall drivers for graphic card and update mb driversor somerhing like that or maybe some other program in background makes your games freeze

i haven't had any problems at all yet with windows 8.1. I think you might be haveing a driver problem.

Same here no issues with Win8.1. you may have a driver issue, maybe you did not post specs of your system either

OP, this happened to me once recently playing Dead Space, had to log out because Task Manager couldn't be brought up. Not sure what the deal was and it hasnt happened since, so I'm of no help, but at least it's not just you.
