so I'am looking to replace my aging hd 4850, I was aiming for a 280x but, since i have to buy a new power supply my buget for video card got a slash cut, so what do you recomnd for arround 130 -150 $

PS
I play games like modern warfare 1-3, LOL and sporadically crisys 2-3

how much is the PSU? 280x MSRP is $300 if you're lucky, so this new $130-150 budget implies a $150 PSU, which sounds overkill

That is indeed quite a bit overkill proportionally. If I were you, I would try to make a 270/270x/760 fit your budget, and perhaps drop to a slightly cheaper psu. Corsair is a great brand (my 620 is ancient and still fighting the good fight), but there are many decent options at less of a premium. Good power supplies are nice, but this sounds like a questionable choice given the rest of your build if you have a priority on having a decent gaming experience.

If you insist on going about it this way, I would wait on the 750 ti. Odds are it will be faster than Bonaire (260x) and similarly priced (~$150 or so).

Not to sound flippant, but there are a ton of modular 80%+ bronze or better models out there that range from ~$70-90 that will not explode/have stability issues, use any noticeable amount more electricity, or likely have coil wine...I'd just be looking for at least 46A on the 12v (or 550w at 80%) from a respectable company. That will afford you a 270x/760 and be more than enough juice for any cpu+300w video card in the future, which I think you would appreciate considerably more than other alternatives while being your best compromise. I have not kept up on PSUs in a long while (they are now for the most part now a commodity after-all, even modular and greater than 600w, which is my point), and perhaps someone else here could give a better recommendation for the best value/quality in that price range.

The FX you have pulls 224W maximum. An R9 280X is in the 250W area so you could get a Seasonic S12II-620/m12II-620 to power all of it or a Corsair CX600(M)/CX750(M) or an XFX PRO 650/750 Core Edition. Of those the XFX and Seasonic are the best of the PSU I suggested and the Corsair is the worst the Corsair you want is only better in terms of efficiency and loses in ripple and voltage regulation. And 80+ gold efficiency on a 650W is pretty useless since it would do barely better than 80+ Bronze when you go pay the power bill for it so get a cheaper PSU and the cheapest R9 280X you can find(that isn't from TUL).
