New Mouse fail.

So I wanted a new mouse as my old RAT 9 has seen better days. ( broken scroll wheel and the left side snapped off )

I looked online or some advice and everyone recommends the death adders so I bought the 2013 death adder. After trying it for a few mins I have decided its too small for my hand and the curve is the wrong shape. Either I have to drag my fingers on the mouse pad or hold my hand in an awkward position.

I might just buy a RAT 7 to replace the 9 as I hated the batteries, but I'm wondering if there is something else?

Features... Something big, wired and under $100.

I've tried the RAT 7 and I like it. It seems to be the wired version of the RAT 9, although I've never tried the 9. I currently use a Vengeance M95 and I like it. It is the biggest mouse I own, is full of features and has a nice aluminum frame like the RAT series.

Why did MS discontinue the awesome MS Wheel Mouse Optical. It was the right shape and light weight and cost effective. Down at the store for mice now, everything is crazy whack it seems.

I had the RAT7 for a while, and I briefly tried the RAT9 (bought for my bro but wanted to make sure it worked before giving it to him). Honestly, I don't love the feel of those mice, and even though it's very customize-able, it just wasn't very comfortable for me.

Now I'll get a lot of hate for this, but I love my Razer Mamba, best mouse I've ever used. I love the wireless aspect of it, especially since the charge lasts a long time, but if you want wired, maybe check out the Deathadder, only $45 on amazon right now.

in my opinion, if you get adjusted to a shape and you like it, stick to it. adjusting to a new shape wont be easy.

this goes for both mice and keyboards as well.

I had Two of those mice! once completely died... and the other one double/triple clicks

I agree with this 100%, But I dont think I could get used to the deathadder, it forces me to either drag my fingers on the mat or hold it claw style.

get a RAT7 man. I used to have it, and its really nice. thumb and pinky rest

i use a steelseries sensei now, no rests, but its ok as its more conducive to my claw/finger style.

Update,

Well I have decided to grab a R.A.T 7 to replace my old rat9... I really liked the shape with the support on the side.
Going to sell the deathadder to a mate and spend $40 more on the rat7...

Try this one out, I've owned it since summer and it's been great. Works great in WIndows and Ubuntu. I didn't install any software for it. Replaced my oooold G5 with it and am very very very happy with it. It's even the same price I paid...worth every penny!

Eyes of the beholder my friend. Maybe she really wanted an M500 with two extra buttons? Buttons can be quite important to people, as can loyalty to a specific mouse vendor!

I do for RPG games, photoshop, and support work. I even have an MP3tag profile as well mapped in LGS. Very helpful to have all those and when I use basic mice or any other I feel naked LOL.

Also for high precision stuff wireless has less cable drag. I love the fact it has both. That makes it extra worth it too.

BTW I got my G700 when it was on sale for 40 dollars off. I got a great deal.

and @Eroticus I think you mean the G602???

I just recently got a G602 to replace my G500 and I've been extremely happy with it. It's the first wireless mouse that I've owned that feels just as responsive as the G500. I've had it for a month and the batteries are still going strong (I put rechargeable NiMH batteries in it.) The biggest perk is that you can change sensitivity without messing with the DPI also works the other way around. The only thing I wish I knew was how much battery life is left. Other than that, it's a great mouse. It looks a little weird, but it fits surprisingly well in my hand. The only thing that it's missing that the G500 had was the two-setting mouse wheel, but I can live without that.

the g400s is slower compared to my abyssus ,G9X, etc. i have no idea why the mouse is Slower.. its like im playing with sort of delay on it.. when i compared it to my other mouses its twice as fast and it doesnt feel big too.. since the shape isn't good also.. thats probably why. the shape Anoys me too..

Yes i tried it even at higher dpi. 1800. and its fast , but the delay is just there.. its either me that im not used to that shaped mouses or its the sensor... since its an FPS mouse. i play Moba games ( dota )

It's definitely a very good mouse for FPS, but maybe a bit specialized? I tried using the mouse for normal functions like surfing the web & photoshop, but it turned out to be a little bulky & slow. Just what I feel.

He plays DotA too and he felt it was to slow.. the same what i'm feeling with the G400S.

when i play with my G9 i have my precision at 1600/1800 DPI. i dont have the same precision with the G400S. im dissapointed with it.. and the mouse is very new. i used it 2 days and i couldnt get used to it...
