I got my invite but recently switched ISPs, have been without service at home for three days now, using my mobile as WiFi hotspot in the meantime

Was actually tempted to download the client last night but I have a 15GB cap.for my wireless data, and I'm guessing the beta is a little larger than that

you guys can confirm that?

How's the gameplay? Does it really feel like the next step in FPS gaming? MS is banking a lot on selling that idea.

I haven't played it but I watched the video posted by SHiNDiB in his link quoted below, and I didn't think anything special of it honestly. Yeah, it might be fun for a bit, but as erocker said it looks like it'll wear off.

The only next step in the feel of FPS games is to move away from the creature habits of Call of Duty (like the perk system), ditch the arcade combat for armchair tough guys, and embrace simulations more like ARMA and Flashpoint.

Having said, wild action shooters still have their place. It's just that I really thought Titanfall was going to be more Mech Warrior than Call of Duty. Sadly I was wrong.

Feels like a mix of CoD and Battlefield. It's fun but certainly no revolution

I finally tried it yesterday, it was OK, the pakour mechanics are kinda fun but the novelty quickly wears off...

On a technical level, from my experience, I don't recommend playing at 5760x1080 ATM, when playing as a foot soldier all on screen indicators are missing, the tutorial mentioned a mini map but it's nowhere to be found at this resolution. When riding on a titan things get even worse, your viewpoint narrows to mostly just the center screen, while over 85% of your side screens are filled with the dull interior of your cockpit, completely wasting most of your display real estate.

To be honest, I was expecting a little more visual and gameplay oomph, the sky textures look nice though :rolleyes:

Well considering the game will be released on March 11 we can all assume the final product will be ready on that date, but with the way games are coming out unfinish you're probably right, "Theres no telling".. hehehe I was hoping this game would be the game of 2014, but after I watched the new "Evolve" trailer it's now the new game I want.. hehehe

Played it for a few hours and i must say i like it. Its pretty fun and i can see me playing it for awhile like COD4. But i do have problems with the BETA lagging terribly

As pointed out, we are less than a month away from release, unless there's a massive day one patch that significantly alters the visuals and gameplay mechanics, I'd say this is as close to the final product as it gets, in fact, chances are the game code has already been submitted for certification, and will go gold in the next few days before the disks start printing, packaging and shipping for distribution.

Played Titanfall for a total of 5 hours between Friday and Saturday. This game seems fun must say i have not experienced any issues. Titanfall is going into open beta so if you don't get a key soon should'nt be a problem

first of all EA sent out lots of Xbox codes to PC owners, so I couldn't play it for the first day. Next, once I got my code the servers were down for most of the day. I played it for 55 minutes before no servers could be found. Then I managed another 2 hours last night.

Aside from the issues BECAUSE IT'S A BETA.....yes I know! It's got reasonable game play, but a bit frantic. There's no variation like BF4. You have to keep jumping and moving around otherwise you're dead. It's like a mental game of BF4-Operation Locker all the time!

Graphics are last gen too, can run it on 3 screens, insane settings, 60fps with a single 7950. When are we going to get decent PC graphics that will actually challenge 2 year old GPUs?

I like it quite a bit. For some fun fast shoot em up action its very good that way. I also love how the endings work. You have to make it to your evacuation ship if you lose and the other team has to search out and eliminate any survivors. That's a great way to end a match.

I can see this getting better.
