Curious as to why you linked Gigabyte page instead of where you purchased it from. Also the MSI 280X Gaming minus the 20% VAT we get over in the UK puts the equivalent price to around $335 here, so I wouldn't say you got a good deal necessarily, but all the same, it's a pretty nice card and will suit you well for gaming requirements. Unless you're a spammer.

Considering he could turn around and sell it to a miner for much much more, this doesn't really apply here.

Unless of course, we are talking about the miner... and even then, it's very likely he will make more than he pays in a smallish amount of time.

No problem with gigabyte cards. They are just as good as MSI's cards if you that is a benchmark.
