EVGA announced a GeForce GTX 750 model with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory, double its standard memory amount of 1 GB. The card is based on an identical board design to EVGA's GTX 750 base model, and sticks to NVIDIA reference clock speeds of 1020 MHz base, 1085 MHz GPU Boost, and 1253 MHz (5012 MHz GDDR5-effective) memory. EVGA is also planning a factory-overclocked SC (SuperClocked) variant of this card, which comes with out of the box speeds of 1215 MHz base, with 1294 MHz GPU Boost frequencies, while leaving the memory clock untouched. The GTX 750 2 GB from EVGA is priced at US $129.99, and its SuperClocked variant at a $10 premium.

Nice to see EVGA is offering DisplayPort across the product line.

"bigger memory" and "the real guys must have 2GB+" fetish for cheap/slow cards is still going strong :D... oh well - about this one - good that it is not GDDR3

No big deal. The 2GB variant is ten bucks more than the 1GB. Where I come from, that's less than the price of lunch
- about this one - good that it is not GDDR3
Haven't seen a GDDR3 card for some time, unless it's some 2009-era NOS board. Usually, DDR3 is used for budget cards these days - whether it's Nvidia or AMD

Does the formula still hold true for these cards? Does a gtx 750 about equal a 660 and a 570?

It's below a 660 and probably below a 570 (but I am less sure of that). We already know where the 750 Ti performs relative to the 660. Tomshardware, for example, put the 660 at 124% and the 750 ti at 101%, relative to a radeon 7850. Most other reviews were similar. (As always, it will depend on your settings and the game you want to play).

I have the EVGA 750 Ti SC, its a great card for upgrading OEM boxes, especially the $300 slickdeal i5s. It won't stress out those questionable PSUs. I imagine the 750 uses slightly less power than the 750 ti.

If you are looking to upgrade into the 660/570 territory, I would look at something like the 760 or 770.

No, it's about as fast as an R7-260X

in this price segment (where every lunch counts :D) there are lot of 2gb marketing gimmicks and, producers know that they can save few pennies and instead of 1GB gddr5 they put 2GB gddr3 - and can add few $$$ to price, no matter that overall GPU performance dropped a bit.... but the "2GB" is what counts to the cheap client. few years back every sub 150$ card had such a "pleasant" versions. nowdays there are lot of R7 250 1GB gddr5 and 2GB gddr3 or gddr5. for me personally - I do not go out one week for lunch and get me some 200$+ card - and I do not give a F about memory amount - I pay for fast GPU, cuz memory amount will hardly ever bottleneck it. ;)

What HumanSmoke has been trying to covey to you is that there is no such thing as GDDR3 in today's consumer graphics cards, yet you don't seem to quite get it. Do spare yourself the embarrassment and shut up..

You might want to check the actual specs of the cards rather than an etailers listing.
The Asus GT 640 supposedly using GDDR3.....DDR3
The NVS 510's supposedly using GDDR3....DDR3
The Gigabyte GT 640 supposedly using GDDR3....DDR3
The MSI R7 250 supposedly using GDDR3 (BTW MSI don't make a "250XT")....DDR3
The PowerColor HD 7750 using GDDR3.....yup, that's DDR3 as well
The XFX HD 7750 using GDDR3....Guess what? DDR3

In fact, except for some oldass Firestream's and GeForces of 2007-09 vintage (as I've already noted in my earlier post) there seems to be only one GDDR3 card actually listed that is in fact specced by the vendor as GDDR3 - the MSI HD 7750 Version 4...which for some reason features "DDR3" on the box, and is referred to as a DDR3 card in reviews and press releases.
Maybe Neliz would clear up the confusion in this instance.
