Should i buy hd 6670 1 gb ddr3 ?

I am upgrading from hd 5450 to hd 6670 and i want to know whether it will run every games at 1280x1080 resolution with everything high and give acceptable frame rates, ie: 30-40 fps ?

I have 4 gb ram
penitum dual core e5400 2.7 ghz

hello friend.

i'm not an expert, however i had this card and i upgraded to r9 270x.
i think for your question you have to take under consideration other things as well. your cpu is quite low for new games if we are talking battlefield 4 etc. also you might wanna check your psu if it has active pfc which is a must for gaming.
with that card i was playing metro last night at the resolution you mention at medium to have 25-30 fps.
i would advise to go with a r7 250 or more so you could at least take advantage of future mantle api for games. but then again i think that your cpu is low as well.

update your profile for system specs so we know what you have. what games are you trying to run?
personally for an upgrade for gaming go as much as your wallet can handle.

the HD 7770 or R9 260 is near the 6670 price and you would be happier with one of those cards

i think this guy is looking for 100 dollar solution. but the 260x would be the best as it has true audio as well. but why going for 6870? no mantle, outdated, more psu power....

With some games, the dual core CPU is going to limit you... but not very often. As others have said the 6670 probably isn't up to the task.

My HD6670 DDR3 handles games fine at that resolution, but some games are closer to medium than to high settings given playable framerates (25-45fps). Given the prices, a HD 7750 or HD 7770 would be about as much money, for a similar power draw and much better performance.

Yeah i would go for the 7770 too and believe the power usage is on the better side.. As for now at least the 6xxx range has no mantle support yet either which might help later on but will have to see about that.
