I get to the river, with the crate, and get up on the rope, can swing back and forth just fine but, can't release to jump into the tree. Been stuck there for over a month!! AAAAHHHH!! There are only the arrow keys and Control, 'Action', and it does nothing but swing around with me pounding the frick outta the control keys!! (Sorry, I am trying to cure my swearing, due to the new rule coming to Facebook!)(That reminds me, gotta go lay down a filth ridden post before it's too late!!)
:D:rolleyes:
I got past that part with no problems using Xbox controller. You have to "jump" off the rope.

For an actual controller, I have a wired 360 controller, and it works very well though I don't use it much. I think I prefer the PS3 controller over 360, but the 360 was on sale.

+1 need to replace my thumbstick though. It's painfully loose. I use GameCube controller allot on n64 with arduino based adapter. For multiplayer.

My friend just recently took his part and fixed his loose thumbstick. Now I don't remember what the problem was, but he said it was a quick and easy fix... I'll try to find out from him.

black shell, red chrome accents etc.

I owned couple of cheap no-names which thumb sticks got squeaky really fast. Few years back I got wired 360 controller and it's really sturdy and precise. It can also be used as a flail like weapon (not in game, in real life).

The control stick's white plastic wears out, sometimes you can put some graphite or silicon lubricant in there and get a bit more life out of it, or you can buy replacement thumb sticks. I think you can also use the game cube's control stick inside an n64 but not sure. Theres these white plastic rings that the stick sits in and they just wear out over time. Once you take it apart its intuitive.

Also, the 10 or so buttons are very useful in racing sims. I only use it for those games, though.

Hopefully, it'll be my non-360 XBox controller with the soldered USB plug.

Used it with XBCD and XPadder for older games on my Win XP laptop, but would like to use it for new games on my Win 7 desktop.

Is x360ce the best way to do that?

My apologies to everyone for the off topic question, but I didn't get a single reply to a thread I posted and it seems like some of you could sort me out rather quickly.

Please send me a PM if you are inclined so that this thread may proceed as the OP intended.

Thanks.

x360ce works in most cases but i also had a lot of issues with some games and to be fair i got pretty fed up with having to use 3rd party programs to get pads working so decided to get proper pc pads that work out the box with every game i have.

There is also a second program i used called xinput 3.0 and it works in a simler way to x360ce so if you have issues with some games and x360ce try giving xinput a try.

I've been using a Logitech F310 forever, and it has yet to disappoint -- though the little indentations on the Dualshock4 thumbsticks are very appealing indeed...
