Hi everyone,

I am planning to replace my stock Zalman LQ315 (120mm) fans with better quality radiator mount screws & fan screws. However, I look at the manual, Zalman didn't provide any specification for individual screws...

So, out of curiosity, the replacement should be M4 x 30mm Pan Head Screws + M4 x ? mm Radiator Mount Pan Head Screws?

I will be mounting 1 x AF120 Quiet Edition to Zalman LQ315 Radiator.... I need help looking for the above screws / correct length.

Or should I get a pack of M4 x 45 mm and screw both fan + radiator as one? Will that work?

So... by any chance, do you know if the radiator uses M4 / M3 thread? The manual doesn't state anything about it.

Second, I already measured the screws. But, I don't know if it's M3/M4 threads. This is because I would like to use 'Socket Cap - Titanium' and do some modding with it instead of using screws that are given to you.

4 x 30mm (Fan > Radiator) + 4 x 16mm (Case > Radiator) - Socket Cap Screw Hex

I will also buy a few more instead of 4 for emergency / backup...

I had to purchase extra screws for my CNPS20LQ when one got stripped. I suggest taking one of the screws and going down to your local hardware store and match them up. We are talking about $1-$2. Did Zalman not supply you with all the extra screws? The supplied screws for my 20LQ easily worked with 2x Corsair 120SP for a push pull setup.

Just a tip, but I would not use an AF series rather SP 120mm fan as it would not supply proper pressure. The AF series are for blowing air around your case, not exhausting it out through a radiator. The SP are very quiet (I have 6 AF in my case to compare to) so noise won't be an issue. And if all possible, use 2x SP 120 for better results. At stock speeds, I leave both fans at 660rpm 24/7, regardless of CPU use and they are quiet and keep idle at 15'c!

Thanks for the infos. I will walk down the shop and find them...

Also, instead of using 'self tapping screw' which is provided by corsair for the AF/SP 120 case fan, can I use alternative? For example, can I use M3 x 30mm Black (Pan Head Screws) with Hex Nuts?
