Weird buzzing from GPU, synchronized with screen updates/FPS.

I've noticed this weird buzzing sound coming from, I think, my GPU. It seems to be synchronized with frame rate/screen updates, because I hear it when playing games or when I move around/rotate my SketchUP models. Sometimes it's louder, and other times it's really quiet.
I've read a couple of articles, but I couldn't find anything helpful.
I hope someone who has encountered this can help.
Any help would be appreciated.

P.S.: I have ~ 2 more years of warranty, but I would prefer it if I didn't need to send my card away, as I don't have a spare.

It's called coil whining, its not bad for the hardware but it can be annoying to your ear if you focus on it :)

I had it on my previous HD7970 and on a corsair AX860 PSU. The latter was actually so bad (VERY loud) I had to RMA it.

So I shouldn't be worried about the card? Also - is it normal for it to just come out of nowhere? Because it just began doing it today. I haven't shut down my pc in weeks, if that's a factor.

I don't know exactly what to tell you here. My GPU had coil whine from day 1, but the PSU developed the coil whine slowly over the first month so yea, it was silent at the beginning.

However I've seriously NEVER heard anyone saying that their component got fried or malfunctioned after developing coil whine and I assure you I am following 3 different website forums actively for a long time now.

Also, using VSync in games will reduce the very high pitched noise when very high frame rates occur because u will be capped at 60fps.

blow the car with some compressed air. sometimes dust particles can interfere with rapidly changing electric field. since its coming from when you are apparently putting it on load, it might be from the VRM coils as well.

Are you running through a UPS? if so plug the PSU directly to the wall and try. sometimes old UPSes cant produce the correct output waveform and that messes with PSUs.
