Seems like your drivers are acting up, which one are you using at the moment?

Im using the 13.12 driver

@puma99dk| yes windows is always updated.

Any specific driver for twin 290's that you guys could recommend?

And it seems every time this random crash happens its when I have a few tabs open while browsing the web.

Looks to be the Video drivers like everyone else said. You can use Driver Verifier and see if any other drivers could be causing the crash.

There is a guide here: http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lo...-driver-verifier-identify-issues-drivers.html

Then, here's the procedure:
Quote:

  1. Go to Start and type in "verifier.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter
  2. Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
  3. Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
  4. Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation", "and "Force Pending I/O Requests" and click "Next"
  5. Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
  6. Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
  7. Select "Finish" on the next page.
Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.

You could try turning off hardware acceleration in your web browser.

Also, you could deinstall all amd drivers and install the latest beta drivers. as far as i know, they're stable enough for day to day use. of download the latest driver from your videocard manufacturer. that should be a verified driver that is tested by them.

I don't have the cards over clocked during gaming. Plus the second card turns on when in FF. I just did a clean is install and new mobo bios. Any thing in the power options in the control panel need to be changed for cross fire?

I was thinking you manually overclocked, so setting a profile to default would help

Nope, but every idea is welcome for sure man!

I flashed the mobo to the latest Maximus Formula 5 bios, and I use a formula 5 thunder FX board and had issues in the past with the 1903 Bios but all seems rock solid so far.

I did my install different this time an.... yeah it's working **** **** but I wont say as I may jinx this thing lol.

Alos I only Installed Microsoft updates this time around and have like 55 optional updates avalible but I'm not installing them for a while till I know it's good ;)
