Asustor is hard at work to establish itself as a good name on the NAS scene, and they are on the right track. Today, we will take a look at the AS-204TE, which Asustor says to be the best multimedia and storage-center solution for your home because it comes equipped with all typical NAS functions, an HDMI port, and XBMC support.

Hi. Any idea if this NAS is capable of stereoscopic movie (2 1080p streams or MVC) playback? What about 4k video playback?

I haven't tried any stereoscopic movies but I am pretty sure that if they are of very high bit-rate then it may fall into trouble reproducing it. As for 4k playback I don't have any compatible monitor or TV to test it. Would love to buy the new Dell 32" monitor but its price is (still) very stiff.
