Just got it in the email. They say none of the user accounts have been compromised but they suggest changing the password anyway.

Shift accounts are hosted on Amazon's cloud and Amazon was vulnerable to Heartbleed (fixed now). Gearbox was being proactive telling people they should change their passwords because it is unknown how much was stolen, if anything. Ehm, a preventative measure.

I wish other companies would do that.

You should wait for ALL AFFECTED SERVICES ... WAIT TILL THEY PATCHED instead of doing it right away. If it's not patched it would be pointless.
