GPU DDR2 remplacement

Hi guys, I have an old computer and it seems like my gpu is totally dead, I cant turn on my computer because the gpu fan start turning like crazy and 30 seconds later my computer shut down, everything works fine execpt the gpu so I want to change it, I have an Radeon hd 5770 (something like this one : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102868 )

Its pretty hard to find DDR2 gpu (atleast for me because I dont know that much and old pieces I know nothing).
The highest game I used to play with this computer is The Sims 3, so if you guys can help me to find the same gpu or something close to it, I would be so happy, I dont want to throw my computer away...I use it to play with my girl !

Maybe you need more information about my computer, well ask me if you guys need !

get a AMD R7 260X - it performs better than your 5770 and only uses 10-15w more power.

On the other hand if you DONT want to spend a lot of money and dont see the point of having a faster graphics card then a R7 250X is equivalent to a 5770 almost to a point where they are 1:1. The 250X is a slightly bit faster though.

Ho ok thanks, well for 20$ more I have an upgrade...120$ for my old computer is alot but less than a new config...

well what other games do you play? If you dont play that many graphical intensive games or games that need that much horsepower then you might be able to save a little more money. The suggestions i gave you were based off the fact that you said you had a 5770.

Cant go wrong with 250x or 260x.

you can probably drop to a R7 240 but i really wouldnt recommend it. Its quite a downgrade from a 5770 but it should be able to play the games you want to play, Just nothing more. 250X is a good middle ground, you've got enough power for some newer titles and it doesnt cost as much as you think it does compared to the more expensive graphic cards out there - we're talking $800-1000. Obviously overkill for what you need it for but im just trying to put things into context.
