I purchased one corsair power supply, this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

About 7 months ago now when I first built my new pc. It worked fine for 6 months and around the end of march it died, I do not know why. Instead of RMAing the product, or getting in contact with a rep from your company I just outright wen't and bought another corsair power supply from Amazon (since at the time they were out of stock, iirc).

This one:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ALK3KEM/?tag=tec06d-20

The first one broke within 6 days after buying it, so we got into contact with amazon customer service and sent that one back for a replacement. The second one we got lasted about 25 days (this one wasn't completely broken, just faulty), and we did the same thing (Contacted Amazon customer service). This last one we got lasted 2 days. It worked fine the first day, second day it seemed to be working fine then it popped with electricity and it was gone.

Today I purchased yet another power supply, and it seems when my 4th corsair power supply died it took my motherboard with it, and who knows what else at this time.

I have sent one AX1200i and one AX1200 PSUs into RMA this past month. They did send me a brand new sealed AX1200i, waiting on my AX1200 now.

I had an EVGA PSU fry my MOSFETS on my R4E last year, took out my CPU and two sticks of memory.

Thing is I don't even know what else is gone, I just found out my motherboard is dead when I got my new PSU this morning. I am lucky, I think my graphics card is still good, it's power lights come on, but other than that nothing else in the entire pc gives any indication of power.

I'm no Corsair fanboy, but I think that the possibility of getting 4 defective PSU's from them in a row is pretty slim. I'd take a good look at your system, it's surroundings and where the power cord is plugged in. I normally try to steer people away from the CX line of PSU's, just because we (on this forum) seem to hear of too many problems.

The one that lasted 6 months seemed perfectly fine ('till it broke), but the second one I got from amazon was faulty for sure. It worked, but it only worked when it wanted to it seemed. Sometimes it would go a full afternoon without powering up anything, then I would plug it back in and it would be working fine, like nothing ever was wrong.

have you removed your mother board from the system to check for issues such as short circuits caused by inadequate offset(s) or case flaws?
its also possible that its your cpu thats gone not the board btw. i dont know what your board is but most will fail to power up if the cpu is dead/missing. some will power on but bleep at you. but most i have seen just wont power on at all. (only a few lga 775 boards ever beeped at me for a missing cpu)

i would have imagined that the faulty psu that would only boot when it felt like it would have most likely been down to a mother board mounting issue. or after market cpu bracket shorting something out.

the one that exploded however does sound like that issue came from your mains supply.

hopefully your system wont bot simply because of a mother board mounting issue which caused incorrect diagnosis of faulty psu's.
i would however have your mains supply checked. it does sound like there is something potentially wrong there. (could even be some thing els in your house sharing the neutral or earth thats causing issues.

I too cannot see you being sent 4 bad psu's in a row. I'm thinking there is something else at fault here taking out the psu's.

i just think it could be from your electric, then affect to your psu then hit your board.
have you checked your house voltage?

What's the power quality like where you live and are you sure that the circuit your computer is on is grounded? If you're in an area prone to brownouts, that could take out your PSU unless you're behind a half-decent UPS.

Get a decent power bar, that way if it is indeed your electrical outlet the worst that can happen is $20 down the drain.

To me it sounds like you have a dirty power source coming from your home. Corsair is a reputable company that make strong power supplies, and to have 4 go out like that says alot about your home power.Have your breakers, grounding of your home checked, also possibly the power strip and wall outlet changed. Perhaps get an iso bar.

Youre very prone to having a fire in your home.

I purchased one corsair power supply, this one:

Be careful with these. THEY are often the source of problems. If you look on the bottom, many say "Temporary Power Tap" which is a fancy way of saying extension cord.
