Hi,

Upgraded my system recently and now thinking about upgrading my HDD to a SSD.
Need advice about it please.
Was thinking about this one: http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/memory-storage/MZ-7TE250BW
What you guys think ?

Btw, it will be mostly used for gaming (loading times and such)

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

The Samsung EVO series would always be my first suggestion for an SSD, so good choice IMO. In terms of upgrading, I would keep the HDD for extra storage in the system, especially for something like video files. One piece of advice I would give is consider and look around for options concerning transferring your data from the HDD to the SSD.

Yeh I will keep it for sure, I got 2 more actually.
As for transferring the data isn't really needed because I just freshly installed windows so there won't be a problem re-formating again.

In that case, I can see no problems with your choices. Enjoy!

Simple advice here. I have used many different types of ssd's and while some have a faster data write/read rate. In all reality even the "slower" ssd's are WAY faster than HDD's. Pick out one with good reviews and in your price range and go for it. Unless your worried about "1/2 second" faster boot time you will be happy and astonished with any decent SSD. I would also say give this one a look while it is on sale - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ..._mmc=EMC-GD052614-_-index-_-Item-_-20-178-453

Can that just stay on sale until I get the money to afford it in a couple months? :(
