Don't know if I am late, but a 24· monitor is so small!

Also, why not get a smaller Noctua. Like de C-14. I have had (2) high profile rams with it. The D-14 is very big. What are your overclock goals?

Here we are: http://www.amazon.it/registry/wishlist/3KX5SECVD2EOI

I added 2 kits of the RAM Vario suggested. Choose a high-end monitor and a BD Writer.

Only thing wrong I see is you picked the wrong RAM. You have RAM that is DDR3 1600 CL10. Get the RAM in the second link in the post that Vario posted the link to that RAM at. It is DDR3 1600 CL9. CL stands for CAS Latency, you want at least a CL rating of 9 for DDR3 1600 RAM. The RAM in the second link Vario posted is CL9, which is better CL10 RAM.

Here I am guys: http://www.amazon.it/registry/wishlist/3KX5SECVD2EOI

Sorry if I'm so late but I actually had HUGE connectivity problems these days. I used the Vario's link you posted BarbaricSoul, are those right? I'll surely also learn myself the differencies between CLs.

Now, about the monitor.. I'm really interested into buying THE BEST possible since it's not something I'll change anywhere soon, but since I'll record in real-time and that I won't surely go over 1080p is it worth it? What do you guys think?

Yes, that is the right set of RAM

As for the monitor, from a work perspective, I can divide my 1600p monitor into 4 sections that are very close to equal in size and pixel density as my laptop's 15" 1366 x 768 screen, meaning I basically have equal to 4 of my laptops screens. You can imagine the advantage to that. Personally I love it for doing work requiring research, like my college assignments.

As for gaming, it just can not be beat IMHO. I can see details on my screen that people with 1080p would probably miss. I have scored plenty of headshots just because of my monitor (better make sure you are 100% behind cover, or I will see you). Honestly don't remember if gaming is one of the uses this computer is intended for, but if it is.....

Looking at their original post, these were the needs/requirements of the PC:

  • High-End "maximized" gaming
  • Adobe Suite working, maybe even Nuke.
  • Live gameplay recording / streaming

So for high-end "maximised" gaming, and the Adobe Suite work, I agree with @BarbaricSoul - the extra screen real estate with a 1600p or 1440p monitor will be extremely useful, and your games will look amazing with the performance of the R9 290x. I would definitely get a much larger monitor to really use your high-end hardware to their full potential.

Wowh, it was pretty.. O.. Obvious, indeed. Gosh, I'm sorry, but THANKS, this cleared my mind like a thunder light the night.

I think I have one last question: when I'll want to add a second 290x in Crossfire, will I be able to easily?

That said, I think I'll of course need W7 Ultimate. This could be the last setup. I'm over budget but hey, I'll do it.

You'll definitely enjoy that 1440p monitor, although you could go all the way to 1600p. Maybe a future consideration.

But adding a second 290x in Crossfire would be very simple; buy a second Sapphire Tri-X, open the case side panel, plug the card into the second PCIe 3.0 x16, plug in the power connectors, and hey presto dual 290x Crossfire.

Enjoy!

You could just run Windows 7 Pro, the only difference is bitlocker. If you need bitlocker, get ultimate, if you don't then don't.

I was worried about RAM limits but you're damn right, luckly I'll save something from it!

To be honest, I survived a while on Home Premium, and it was fine for my needs at the time. But what I find quite nifty now I upgraded to Professional is official Windows integration of Remote Desktop (rather than a more 3rd-party way), which seems to work okay.

Professional gives you the option for a lot more system ram and isn't much more over Home Premium.

If you're referring to price, then the 'retail' OEM versions of Professional is about $50 more expensive. That is unless you go down another OEM route, which means they're about the same price, but perhaps is bending the Microsoft EULA a little.

EDIT: Wow. Amazon UK has recently started offering Professional 64-bit cheaper than Home Premium, and at a very decent price here in the UK.
