To bad it cost $25... To get my Aurora LX it cost $55 and doesn't even include the Digital Game Soundtrack. So for $25 it should include the Digital Game Soundtrack and Didtal Map when I upgrade.

Yeah just sent them a message it took me a while to find the contact us. I brought up that it only cost $10 more for the current 300i package that also includes Digital Game Soundtrack + Digital Map, but they are charging $25 more and that only includes the 300i upgrade. As of now I can't stand my Aurora (I do know that this just came out, so all ships will continue change, but I have wanted the 300i for a long time)

Base price is the $35 base package. As you're late to the party alpha modules (such as the current dogfighting module) cost $5 each if you want access.

Game is not pay to win. Currently you can buy bigger, better ships as a way of funding the game - when it launches they will stop selling ships for real money. There will be no monthly fee, but you can buy in-game currency for real money as a source of revenue. There are limits to how many in-game credits you can buy, and there is only one currency - unlike many games where there is a currency you earn in-game and a currency you buy with real money. Everything you can get in the game can be earned and bought with in-game credits - including all the ships you can buy now so all people are really doing at the moment is saving time earning money to buy ships as they are buying them now.

Turns out you have to equip them on the outer wings instead of the inner wings, then they fire properly. Only thing that works when mounted to the inner wings of the 300i is missile trays.

Also, this game eats 3GB VRAM @1440p!
Doesn't seem to use much RAM at all though.

If anyone is interested in some early 3rd party performance testing, puget systems did some. Link here.

I was really interested if there would be significant differences between 4 and 6 cores, and there is not, but this is alpha. Hyperthreaded hurts performance in their tests. This game will eat 3gb of vram like candy. Overall I think their tests were not thourough enough for what I was hoping to see, but this is alpha, and gives a decent idea of performance on different hardware.

Ah damn. They don't show up when you click on the Freelancer under ships. I did not see there was a ship upgrade tab down under Add-ons.

I went see how much the game costs but all I could see was prices on ships. Wouldn't even consider it if it were pay to win but it isn't so I may try it out.

I am curious as to how well overclocking helps. I am unable to play the game right now, or else I would test. How I would test would be do a run on 3.5ghz and 4.5ghz, state specs etc. Since this game uses 8gb of memory I wonder if speeds play a role here. I would test 1333mhz and something high like 1866mhz and above.

They will. They would never pass up these ships that they didn't have to pay there avg $50k for. I say top5get in for sure, they will wait a little while o make 1st place feel good. Can't wait 3 hours away! And my internet Started working at 4x the speed we pay for

Never got to vote as the website crashed. And is still down.
And Congrats TO [REDACTED]! Don't want to spoil it for anyone.

On another note currently Ocing my CPU to it's max I've got it at 3.5GHz and trying for 1.47V Highest temp is 75c in Intelburntest.

Loved the Freelancer commercial - really impressed with just how gimballed those side guns are. Also the voice for the commercial - none other than Lance Henriksen aka Bishop in Aliens aka Admiral Hackett in Mass Effect 3. Awesome and I really hope this means he'll be doing some voice work for the game.

EDIT:

I'm disappointed how the voting was handled. It should NOT have been a live vote. less than 2% of the Star Citizen population voted. Different time zones, Website unavailability prevented the other interested citizens from voting.. Which brings up the question. Did only ~8000 people successfully load the voting page? I would hate to think someone overloaded the site on purpose.

Yes, I saw that Freelancer commercial where the pirate flying the Freelancer killed two unarmed local militiamen in their Cutlasses. Lol! If you look closely at the video those they had no guns! ..and there is a small skull & crossbones painted on the Freelancer. The commercial was bad-ass though.

I think the right ship won.. and I'm sure we'll see both ships (probably more) in the game.

Hey guys, quick question, I downloaded the game to my Xfire 290X rig and it's artifacting badly, to the point of being unplayable, bright color polygons start showing out of nowhere as soon as fire the game.

I know my 290Xs are fine, I play any other game like watch_dogs and wolfenstein without any issues, and don't OC them at all. Using cat. 14.6 here

Anyone else here playing on Xfire?
