7870 ghz Edition black screen issue System Boot

hi everybody ,
i recently bought a sapphire 7870 ghz edition (20 days ago) , after installation on my system and driver update i experienced no issue and bug at all but since 5 days i have some major issues with black screen (lost of signal) during system boot and finally after several restart when i finally can have access to my desktop i have crash when for instance i want to play a youtube video (black screen , blue screen and reboot)

can anyone help me? i'm really upset .

go here fill in system specs hardware brandnames, model and OS

- double check the vga card is seated well and that all the cables are secure

Uninstall Catalyst Driver
-Navigate to windows Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features
Select: AMD Catalyst Install Manager select: uninstall and allow system to restart
[Note: when prompted select express uninstall]

- reinstall latest WHQL drivers from AMD here

- Firefox or M$ IE [disable hardware acceleration]

driver has nothing todo with it law isn't thinking strait
black screen at boot = hardware problem

Mixed resaults some have great expearience with this tool, other have had system crash and had to reinstall after using amdcleanup utility. [Note: windows 8 /8.1 users had most issues]

Edit: @OP; without system specs and OS; making this difficult for the TPU community to assist good luck; [I'm out] other members of the community may be able to look into a crystal ball and imagine/guess what hardware and OS is installed and give better advice.

ok i have uninstall all catalyst driver and CCC , i have install catalyst 13.4 given with shappire CD and also disable hardware acceleration with mozilla :
i have still issue when i want play a youtube video freeze-[amd drivers not responding and was recovered] message-blue screen and reboot.

i don't think that is my power supply the 7870 consume a tiny bit more than my old 6870.

BSOD stop error code yes i think but i don't remember what i have after STOP: ... during this blue screen before reboot

test vga card in another PC, [*if same issue]: return the card to the retailer / e-tailer or raise an RMA if still in warranty

Ok i send a mail to sapphire eu support and i wait for a answer

pull the card out and put it back in the PC worked for me today mine just went blank just as i was going to play some oblivion that was after i was watching supernatural works fine now the stupid usb3 ports are dead though i dont care about them

@OneMoar ; blank screen on post can be software [driver corruption] or hardware related

uh no it can't post is pre os no video at post = hardware problem

I suspect that Ops power supply or motherboard but he has yet to fill in his complete system specs so he gets no further help until he does

your power supply isn't good enough and most likely the source of your issues especially if its as I suspect a unit that came with the case or simply a budget unit

because the power supply gave out under the load most likely it started to over heat
test the card in another system to confirm

corsairs lower end units aren't very good either way AMD says 550W min for that card
a older generation i5 and a 7870 Ghz is gonna be pushing that poor 450W to its limits

thats a stock 7870 not a Ghz edtion card

Sapphire's tech support do answer phone calls, so call them during their business hours.

And also I think there were a series of cards that had this problem initially (had some power circuit issues) and Sapphire fixed it in the later batches. So if you call them and let them know the serial number they will be able to identify if it belongs to that batch. If you have purchased as new and still have receipt they will be able to replace it.
